I stayed here with a tour group in June 2008. Having stayed in the Nikko I had high expectations, and was sorely disappointed with this hotel. It was raining hard when we arrived and the hotel rooms for almost all of our tour group were damp and musty and had very strong mildew odors. Our windows leaked water onto the carpet. Since the air conditioner shuts off when you leave the room, there is no way to keep the humidity level in the room controlled, hence the mildew problem. Some members of our group developed respiratory problems but the management would not accomodate them with a room change. One member ended up sleeping in a conference room. We were able to change rooms when part of our group left. The hotel appeared to be undergoing a sorely needed renovation. The fixtures in the rooms were quite dated (1980's style). The beds were comfortable, the marble bathrooms were large, but dated and in need of renovation. The lobby is grand, but there is no spa. The top floor lounge has great views of the harbour, but the rooftop pool and exercise facilities are unimpressive. The breakfast buffet is good, but quite expensive, though the hotel is within a few blocks of a starbucks and other restaurants. It is an easy 4 block walk to the subway, which is an excellent way to get around Hong Kong. It is also within walking distance of a large mall, the harbour and the ferry terminal. I felt safe walking in the area at night with my family. While I liked the location, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Staff service was kind & helpful. It couldn't be described how comfortable on the King size bed. The bathroom was very impressive.
Though I found a message on the desk apologizing for having any noise for partly renoovation (if any), I definitely could not find any noise instead.
The only bone I could pick was that it was better to stay on a higher floor ( I was just on the 5th floor).
A quiet & comfortable stay! Highly recommended!
For dining, I had tried the Chinese restaurant (Toh Lee) before. It's good with nice service.
