Stayed at the Hilton in New Kingston, Jamaica on October 16th thru the 26th, 2009 and had a great time. The hotel is perfectly suited for those who want to party and have fun without the hassle of having to get a taxi to go to a club or restaurant. All the local clubs and restaurants are located literally behind the hotel complex which is no more than a two to three minute walk. Karoake night on Fridays is the best. You will laugh and clap to those talented souls brave enough to venture up on stage to get their fifteen minutes of fame. Can't say enough about this hotel. LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!

when we got to the hotel we were greeted with many friendly faces. they helped us with the reservations and quickly escorted us to our room. the room was clean and the pool area was very pleasant. the only negative would definately be the food service. we had breakfast at the hotel two mornings and the service was painful. it took them forever to get our food out and although we could see our server and she could see us we had to constantly wave her down to come and give us refills.( there was only one other group in there at that time). our food came out seperately. my husband had pancakes with eggs. the eggs came out and he was finished with them before the panckes came out. my brother in law ordered a omelet with bacon. the bacon never came out. we were all served at a different time. the last night of our stay was horrible. we had dinner by the pool and the server came out and placed out our water glasses. i moved them closer to each of us and he was not happy. he asked if there was a reason for moving them from where he placed them. we though he was teasing but he apparently was very miffed about this, we waited 1 and 1/2 hours for our food and the server was very inconvenienced by us asking for refills of only water. my sister and i ordered the same meal as the night before which was very tasty. what a dissapointment!! it was so hot(spicy) we only managed to eat half of it and only ate the half because we were so hungry from waiting so long. it was prepared totally different. not a good experience with dining at all.

I feel that this hotel is over priced for the accommodation the room rate seems to change based on your willingness to pay more or sold to the highest bidder . The room we stayed in have no elevator access, we had to take the stairs; their is no accommodation for people who cant climb stairs. If you are not in the main tower please do not look outside the trees are badly over grown and you will not be able to see any thing through that forest. The staff were polite and did their best but did not seem to know much about the area they represent. I would only return to this hotel as a last resort.

I made a quick trip to Kingston in December and chose to stay at this hotel for the seond time. It's at a great location, in walking distance to the restaurants and clubs in New Kingston. The rooms are ok. They could do with some upgrading. The housekeeper assigned to the room was very friendly and efficient so it was kept clean. The staff in general were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so-so, I've had better at other hotels. They do make delicious cocktail patties though. I was able to get a discounted rate, so it was worth the price paid. Its not really worth it when they charge more than $ as you're really only paying for the Hilton name and a bed. They have nightly entertainment by the pool area which is interesting and the bar in their little casino serves great drinks. I also liked the convenience of having transportation to and from the airport. Overall, I probably will stay there again the next time I'm in Kingston.
