I went to Brazil for 2 weeks and I stayed at this hotel for the first 5 days and my last 3 days. Fortaleza is a beautiful city. The front desk always had a person that spoke English and were very helpful. If you want to rent a car, do it from the hotel as you get better rates. The hotel has a great breakfast and I also ordered dinner room service one night and the meal was excellent and the price was the same as eating outside the hotel. From the hotel, you can find places to eat walking to the left or right. I did not rent a car, just walked from the hotel. However, there are many places to drive to if you have time and you could simply rent a car for a day or two from the hotel. The rooms were very good and large. A taxi from the airport to the hotel was only about $15 US or RS30 in Brazilian currency. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and soon!!! One more thing you do have free internet in your rooms. Bring your cable or they can lend you one from the front desk.

This hotel is close to a food court with typical restaurants, overlooking the beach, you can walk a block to the artisan market which sets up every night. Safe environment, everyone out exercising until late. Rooms are nicely decorated, simple but with every amenity. Buffet breakfast is included in rate.
