We had a great time at Sandals Negril. The staff was outstanding, especially the entertainment crew. We felt at home and were very well taken care of. They have done an amazing job w/the resort! It was a beautiful, calming, safe environment. We'll definitely be back not only because of the resort atmosphere, but mostly because of the kindness and attentiveness of the staff! It does get a little noisy in certain room locations, but the staff was very open to finding us a quiter room.

Beginning with our arrival in Montego Bay (traveling to Negril), we were greeted with a limo driver saying that the Sandals Negril Resort was over-booked and that he was bringing us to the Sandals Montego Bay Resort. Upon arriving, we were told by a greeter that we would have to stay at this property until the Negril had rooms available.( We booked 7 mos prior and paid a lot for Negril). Our stay was to be for 7 days. After spending 4 days at Sandals Montego Bay, we were driven to Negril. Our driver made 13 stops along the way. Finally, when we arrived at Sandals Negril, our room was dirty, the table had crumbs on it, tub was stained a rust brown, and both trash cans still had trash in them. The food was good, but you have to guard your plate because giant black birds swoop in trying to help themselves. When we went for a walk on the 7 mile beach they boast about, well....it's more like 7,000 feet. On either end of the property there are guards that write your name and room number down (when you walk past their property line on the beach) so if someone goes missing they'll know who it was. You had to get up at 5 am to claim a beach chair by putting a book or flip-flops on it, there wasn't enough to go around. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, working with what they have. Spa treatment was pricey and not recommended. The last smack in our face was when we were leaving they offered us a ONE NIGHT free stay on our return!

After many hours of travel and a harrowing 1.5 hour bus ride to the resort, we were shown a dirty, small room. The staff was very friendly, yet for over $*/night, I'd expected a better room. I didn't even want to take a shower - the bottom of the tub had brown stains on it. Food: Outstanding! If you do decide to go, you need to at least have the 24 hour room service option. The four restaurants were really yummy. Beach: The best I've ever seen. There is a shallow sandbar and no plants/debris in the water, so its very pleasant to swim/float in. Activities: We went water skiing and it was really sub-par. The driver had been drinking, there were no women's skiis and the driver didn't know how to pull up a skiier. He drown me three times before he finally figured out not to "hit it" in order to get me out of the water. If you are going to do an excursion, do the zip-line tour. Its amazing. Overall, overpriced and a little dissapointing. Oh and don't stay on the bottom floor. The staff is incredibly noisy in the mornings so sleep is impossible.

My overall stay at Sandals, negril was excellent the play makers staff was excellent very warm hearted, talented, and friendly. The dining staff was very helpful. The front desk, photo shop, gift shop, bartenders, tour guides, and the grill employees. I would love to visit again as soon as I can the staff makes you feel like your home away from home.
