TRANSPORTATION: Cabs asked *t take tourists to their hotels. We booked in advance the Tamarindo Shuttle ;. Cost: $*p/per way. WEATHER: The only rain we experienced were a few light showers. Temps were in the eighties the whole time we were there. That was a welcome change from the Texas heat! HOTEL: Everything was clean. Our room was a bit smaller than we imagined, but we liked it all the same. I needed the internet and it was down! BEACH: The beach was fabulous. One part is soft sand and the other part is a rock and sand mixture. FOOD: We booked the All-Inclusive package on purpose to avoid trying to find a place to eat. The buffet was delicious. Fresh fruit was available at every meal. If we were to go again, we would not be as worried about food. Most of our tours provided lunch;and sometimes supper&. TOURS: We went on three tours::: ARENAL: This is a 4 hr bus ride from the hotel. The bus has A/C and is comfy, but the roads around Arenal are curvy. It’d be better to spend the night near the volcano to avoid the long travel time. COMBO: A 1.5 hr drive from the hotel, the combo tour included zip-lining, horseback riding, swimming in a waterfall, tubing down a river, and another hot springs visit & ud bath is optional This is the best bang for the buck as far as adventure goes. RAFTING: Our last exciting tour included rafting down the Colorado River in a two-person canoe. Rappelling was included, but we begged the guides to let us zip line instead. This was also an hour and a half from the hotel. EXITING THE COUNTRY: There is a *exit tax. They only take cash or Visa.

The hotel staff very friendly, from the front desk to the service personell. The hotel was very clean, extremely nature friendly, incredible landscape and animal world. The meals were very good, incredible variety and totally satiesfied with the quality of all the food components plus incredible desert dishes. The temperature control of the dishes was not so good but it was a minor issue. The drinks offered are very good. The entertainment program was nice, pool activities and beach activities. The staff works very hard and is very helpful and friendly. The request were taken care of withing a short time. In all, the hotel was perfekt and we would return to it without thinking twice.

My sister and I who are in our sixties and her two boys in their twenties spent five days at this hotel. The setting and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and very clean with pillow top beds and great air conditioning. The pool is beautiful, but kind of hot. The best thing was the food -- very typical Costa Rican but with a wide variety every day and beautifully prepared and presented. We liked the white wine, but the red was a little rough and also cold. We were very pleased with the variety of activities for all our ages. One day we went to beautiful Playa Conchal north of Tamarindo for beautiful clear water and snorkeling. The boys did a zip line canopy tour and scuba diving. My sister and I enjoyed walking along the beach to Tamarindo and exploring the town. It was a wonderful vacation and I would recommend Barcelo Langosta Beach to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. We were booked in the new buildings which are amazing, two story rooms w, tile floors huge master bath with Jacuzzi tube. The food is a bit repetitive because it is buffet style every meal. However the food in Tamarindo is very expensive so we defintly ate our money's worth. The location is not bad especially if you surf, Playa Langosta is a great spot and there are several great spots within 10 minutes. Our only disappointment was the staff, they are not very helpful. On the last day we had no water pressure, we called the front desk and their response was O.K. click. Nothing was ever done. we really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to going back soon

After they didn't get me my first wake up call they compounded that by not doing the second one either. My a/c did not work in the room, and there was a constant leak coming from the light fixture above the bathroom sink while I was trying to shave or anything at that sink.
If you didn't get there early enough all lounge chairs and towels were taken.
The main desk staff didn't act like they cared, but the rest of the staff were good.
I will not return to this hotel.
