I stayed here with three of my friends, we really enjoyed our stay the staff was very courteous at all times security was tight we felt very safe.I recommend eating at the hotel restaurant the food was good thanks to the great chefs ( thanks X). the rooms were cleaned at all times, we had a ocean view with balcony and room service is available. Night life many to choose from that's in walking distance.

Ocean view noisy, take ear plugs. Need a fridge, be prepare to spend $10 per day. Pleasant staff, had a wonderful driver who gave a great tour of the area. Had breakfast there every day, that was excellent. Would stay again, because I know what to expect and if there is improvement all the better.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. It's great for singles and people looking to be in the middle of it all. Margaritaville is right across the street from the hotel. There are also a few restaurants, bars and plenty of souveneir shops around. If you don't like alot of noise, don't stay on the beachfront. In the mornings and late at night there is alot of traffic noise and people walking by. Security is tight. I was a bit hesitant about the locals hanging around, but the hotel is very strict about protecting it's guest and making sure they're not being harrassed by the locals-as with the tourism police. The hotel also has a beautiful verandah overlooking the ocean which is right acroos the street. Also, if you decide to go to the local market which is also a short walk from the hotel, don't settle for the first price the vendors give you. HAggle! Haggle! Haggle! Go so far as to walk away, you'll be surprised what great deals you can find. If you decide to walk along the hip strip, they have tour guides there. I was also hesistant about this as well, but I spoke to one of the tourism officers and they vouched for the company Jutta Tours.

the room itself was fine for a lower rent hotel, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly, service was fine at front desk until i complained about the horrible noise of construction in the lower floor of the hotel and the attached building, they smiled and said they were sorry but would not move me to the other side of the hotel. I offered to pay the extra for the ocean view but was told it was sold out even tho the maid on my floor said there were open rooms on all floors on the ocean side. the hotel construction was loud all day as a machine was busting rock out of the mountian behind the hotel 10 hours a day, so every morning i was awakened by noises form the rock smasher at 8 am, and it continued all day until 6 pm, i tried ear plugs to no avail, i could not hear the the t v, i was disappointed that i was not notified of that b 4 i booked the hotel, no one should stay on the back side of this hotel until it is finished with the construction!!!even the transfer driver told me it was so bad b cause the mountian blocks the sound and forces it into the hotel which can not have any sound proofing as the back windows are luvered wood, not glass.

I HAVE STAYED AT THE WEXFORD FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS, THIS MAKES ME A REGULAR. THE STAFF TAKES CARE OF YOU LIKE YOU ARE FAMILY. YOU CAN FEEL SAFE WALKING AROUND ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT. SECURITY IS TIGHT SO HAVE NO FEARS.
