Thank you to Rooms on the beach for being so accomadating to all my needs. I recently stayed there for one week with my 13 yr old son and we had a blast. Security was above and beyond. I was out on my balcony @ 3am looking @ the beautiful scenery and security was there watching the hotel grounds everytime I checked. My room was clean and very comfortable. The bed comfort was way better than I expected and everything else was just great. I can say that every request I made was taken care of in a timely matter. The front desk person Shandia was very helpful. Everytime I asked her anything she was on top of it. She helped me book all our excusions and made all my confirmations for me. I decided to return next month in august. Just cant stay away!

We just returned from a trip to Jamaica- Rooms on the Beach- Ocho Rios. I was concerned after I had read some of the reviews about the hotel. Rest assured, you get what you paid for and then some. The staff were so friendly and attentive. They helped us to book all our excursions and with better prices than we found from most of the tour groups. The room was clean and tidy-although room service seemed to vary from day to day (as in what time they would get around to cleaning). The view from our third floor was excellent! The dining room was just okay. The times that it was open seemed to vary on the number of people that were wanting to eat there. A couple of nights it closed early and we had to go elsewhere for dinner. Thankfully, the hotel is right in the center of town and everything is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers looking to make the most of their vacation money!

if you are looking for a no frills vacation, then this is it. There was no kitchenette in the room--not even a frig. When we arrived, there is no one to greet or take bags. The front desk staff took at least 15 mins before acknowleging we were there. We had to carry our own bags to the 3rd floor. There was some type of bars on our windows. The windows could not be opened, so we could not get the natural breeze. My friends enjoyed the beach and the pool. Continential breakfast every morning. Rooms and hall ways were kept clean. No ants or bugs or roaches. Just no frills. You do get what you pay for. No water sports activities. They do offer tours that is additional or you can go on your own. Located in the heart of Ochy. Can buy food off site but selection is slim.

This is my 5th trip to Jamaica. Last time I was here I stayed right next door at the Sunset Grande, however the Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. They had complimentary contintental breakfast which was great. The food was so expensive at the hotel, but you can take advantage of room service which is a huge plus in my book. Literally steps from town, Hard Rock Cafe, shops and clubs. The hotel itself does not have much going on entertainment wise, but hey you 're in Jamaica its's always a party going on somewhere. It is not the best I have ever stayed in but certainly not the worst. I am plannin a trip in July and if you are on a budget this is the best way to go. This hotel is in my top 2 choices for July.
