I traveled to DR invited by the Secretariat of Culture with regards to International Book Fair in April-May 2008. This looked clean and secure and my room was neat, ocean front (no balcony though). I do not know the rate paid for my room (that was taken care of by the Secretariat) but i assume that being a small hotel could not be extremely high. My favorite was the pool area and the breakfast room, I also had to use the internet service in the lobby which was fine to me. Location is very convenient (next to Secretariat). Staff was very professional including the girl at the Spa. I do not know if i will be there next year, but surely i woul love.

The staff and management at this hotel have no concept of what true customer service truely is in the area of hotel and tourism manangement. The staff is rude and not curtious in addition they do not find a way to correct their mistakes and accomadate staff. The hotel amenities are zero, the casino (what casino), the night club and piano bar (closed), and room service, where? They have special rooms on special floors, and very bad rooms on other floors, which is misleading from the advertisement. The only beautiful part of the hotel was the pool area! Very disappionted because the hotel is in a good central location, but the accomadatuons and staff need a serious upgrade and professional development training in the area of customer service!
