Room was badly worn and too small for the way the furniture was arranged. Window leaked cold air and the heating system was unable to keep the room warm. On the plus side the hotel is located with in walking distance to some good resturants.

Without being a resort, like some of the hotels in Vegas, this was one of the nicest places I've stayed. We needed to be close to the airport, so either the ap hotels or downtown was perfect for us. We paid just over 100 bucks for 4 people, and I would've been about $25 more to be out at the airport and they can be very hit and miss out there. The beds were extremely comfortable, the room was very clean, and the staff sufficiently helpful for our needs. We stayed on a Sunday night, so it wasn't the busiest place in town, but it wasn't empty either. We used the pool after dark, it stays open until 10pm. It was cold, but mind you, its the end of September, so it was only about 60 degrees outside the pool, so easily cold in the pool. The hottub wasn't HOT which usually bothers me alot. It was perfectly comfortable and big enough for about 13 people. I do know that there is a Bar on the top floor and a salon on the bottom, but we visited neither, so cannot comment. There are two restraunts, Harry's Place and the Olympus Cafe. We only at at the Olympus, and I thought it was very satisfactory. I paid about 9 bucks for a 3 egg omelet. No continental breakfast here. I would recomend this hotel to others and will likely stay here again!

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The bed was so comfortable! Our room was very clean, roomy, and quiet. The staff was very helpful and when we checked out they made sure to ask us about our stay and if we had any recommendations for improvements. We will definitely stay here again.

The Red Lion is a great place to stay while in SLC! The beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean. The front desk people were professional and friendly. X, at the front desk was especially helpful in several instances. They have a shuttle that will take you to and from the airport and will also shuttle you to other places in the area if they aren't busy going to the airport. X, one of the shuttle drivers, gave us a ride to a play and also picked us up! My friend and I were there to do research in the Family History Library. The library was a brisk mile's walk from the hotel. We enjoyed walking to and from the library each day though you can take the light rail. They also have a decent high speed internet service. Another example to show you just how GOOD this hotel is, all of the Delta, Southwest, and USAir flight crews stay there. One small thing that I really enjoyed was the little soap dish they had on the bathroom sink! Though it was a small thing, what a novel idea! We didn't have to chase the bar of soap all over the bathroom like you do in most hotels! We will surely be staying at the Red Lion again during our next research trip to SLC!
