  The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The entrance was not marked at all so I had to drive around and figure out which door I should go in. I noticed that I was not the only guest who looked confused when driving into the parking lot. The room was ok; but the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned, so made me wonder about how much time they actually spent cleaning the rest of the room. The location was good, close to most of the activities. I returned to the hotel late after attending an event and there was only one parking space open on the far side of the building. I tried to use my key in the side door, but it was out of order so I had to walk all the way around to the front door.

  I enjoyed my 1-night stay on June 27, 2009. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. No major frills -- but reasonably priced for high season in this region. Good access to 101 fwy. Would stay again.

  My wife and I used this hotel on a trip up to see our kids at UCSB. The hotel is located close enough to consider it convenient to the university. It is close to the freeway, and has gas and food close by for convenience as well. The desk clerk was very nice when we checked in, and we had no problems getting our room. Our room was on the ground floor, right next to the main lobby. In the morning it gets pretty noisy with guests and hotel staff walking around and talking outside the room. I would suggest requesting a room away from the lobby to prevent this. The only other issue we had was that the trash in our room had not been taken out before we checked in. Because the rooms have a mini kitchen in them, the trash was full of discarded food and such. I asked the clerk in the morning to make sure the trash was removed, and I also request two additional pillows. She immediately brought the pillows to the room. We left for the day, and returned to find the trash had been taken care of, but the bed hadn't been made. I'm not sure if the desk clerk misunderstood that I wanted the trash removed when housekeeping turned down the room, but it appears they just emptied the trash. Overall, this experience was good enough that we would stay there again (we don't spend a ton of time in our rooms).

  I was very pleased with my stay there. The room was very clean, free from bugs, leaks, squeaks, etc. The bed was very comfortable. Was not noisy. Plenty of clean towels, a good hot shower. The staff were friendly & helpful. I felt very safe.
