  The room was clean and the staff was very courtious. the beds could have been a little softer, but over all, it was a good stay.

  While on a roadtrip through California, I was staying exclusively at Choice Hotels (since I am a member). After three very disappointing Choice Hotels (I left two even before checking in), I finally decided to stay somewhere else. Decided on this hotel for the location and price. I was extremely irritated from my trip and didn't want to deal with any more ""this doesn't work."" Did a search on a travel website and came up with this La Quinta. Guess what? - The hot tub works! And it is clean and powerful! Pool is very nice, too. - Both vending machines work. Soda AND snacks! - The high-speed internet works. No need to call the front desk to ask why only to have them ""re-set their router"" (never works!) - They offer smoking rooms. No need to go outside. - The check-in person was very nice and helpful and I could understand him. - Very clean hotel. I am not even done with my stay and I'm writing this review. Did I mention that this hotel was about $20 less than I was spending at Choice? Definitely changed my mood after I checked in. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

  This place was great! The breakfast actually had hot waffles every morning. Great selection to choose from. The price was just right. I stayed with children, they were very happy as well. Just a few miles to Ventura Harbor. Would definitely stay again!!

  Good value but I wasnt pleased with its exact location. Next to the freeway, a video store, and a gas station, but blocks away from anything else. The room was clean, but what I would consider decor of a low-end hotel -- no one compares to a Marriott or the like. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had minimal choices, but nice to have something offered since there is nothing else in walking distance. The jacuzzi was broken.
