  I had a great room! The hotel and my room were clean, not spotless but great effort was made. All staff was friendly, not the smartest but kind. The parking attendant/security was on post and the continental breakfast was plentiful! The surrounding restaurants and stores are within walking distance and the room rate was GREAT for the location! My daughter checked it out before I arrived and I checked in early so I could see for myself! I enjoyed every night and everything about it! I was fearful because of the reviews. Yes it is an old building and I always buy cleansers and lysol in case housekeeping is lazy, but other than my usual sanitizing rituals, this was one of the nicer Quality Inn experiences I have had in 25 years! I have stayed in many name brand hotels throughout the USA 6-12 nights a year every year for business, pleasure, church, or special events so I have to budget. It must be clean and my room should be cleaned each day! The area must be safe to walk, park and close to family oriented restaurants and at least one good one stop shopping center or national chain store. They passed my inspection and I have no complaints! When I return to Hollywood, this will be the first hotel I will check out for myself and recommend -I have stayed in 4 star hotels @ Lax that were not this friendly. This place does not have a lot of parking spaces and it is an old building but they can hold their head up! My daughter worked at a 3.5-4 star in Hollywood and spent all 3 nights with me without complaining until the front desk attendant said I don't know!!

  If you just need a clean, secure, quiet place to get a good night's sleep, this is it. Staff was very pleasant. Room was large and clean, beds very comfy. Hotel is just off Wilshire in Korea Town, right where I needed to be. Bathroom paint was peeling and tub drained slow. Continental Breakfast is just that, Don't expect a sous chef. For the money, its a good, basic hotel. Not for the hoity-toity.

  Room was smelly. Needed a plunger. Told they didn't know where it was at. Had to get it myself and return it once it had been located. Breakfast was lame although the donuts were fresh. Parking was terrible. Not in great section. Check out was very slow.

  The parking was mediocre- as I had to somewhat ""valet park"" my own car, and give the concierge desk my keys. The staff was friendly and helpful, even at 2 a.m. when we arrived. The hotel bathrooms were very worn and outdated. If they fixed it up some, they could probably charge a little more for the rooms. The walls were dirty, but clean carpets. Another plus was the strong pressured showers and toilets. The breakfast was OK at best- with a few donuts, toast, OJ and coffee. This experience was OK for me.
