  My husband and I have visited the Napa Valley 3 to 4 times per year for the last 16 years and have stayed only once at the Harvest Inn, in November 2007. The entrance, the grounds and the exteriors of the buildings suggest a much nicer inn than the actual rooms. Our room, a King, was unimpressive save the wood-burning fireplace. Although there was plenty of space for a sofa or two comfortable chairs, the furniture--the bed, nightstands, a desk & chair--was minimal. The bathroom had disposable cups in plastic bags like many low-budget hotels and there was mold growing in the grout around the bathtub. The closet, tucked beside the bathroom sink, had no doors. The per night room rate, even during the week, is ridiculous for the quality. We have stayed at many B&Bs and other small inns in the Napa Valley, and we will never stay at Harvest Inn again despite its fantastic location.

  The Harvest Inn is a beautiful hotel located just south of St. Helena in the heart of Napa Valley. My wife and I reserved a Fountain King room which overlooked a lovely courtyard and fountain. The room itself was very large, comfortable, and well decorated. The room included a gas fireplace, large walk-in shower, and enormous bath tub built for two. They even included little details, like CDs of romantic music and adjustable lighting. It is perfectly designed for a couples getaway. Harvest Inn provides a complimentary continental breakfast on a patio that looks out over a vineyard and toward the nearby mountains. It is a great way to start your day. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel.
