  We loved this hotel. It sits on top of the most beautiful cliff, with a beautiful park right next to it. We found the staff to be very friendly, and helpful. Loved the pool, and every morning we walked the walking trails that were suggested. Beaches are close by, we ate at the restaurants down at the Harbor which you can walk to. Dana Point is a beautiful area to stay in. The Buffet Breakfast was excellent!

  This place was wonderful. ALL the employees went out of there way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Every employee we came across greeted us with a smile and a hello. From the maids and valet all the way to those wearing suits. I asked the concierge for some help with a local excursion and she went above and beyond what I expected. She returned to me with several printed handouts, driving directions, discounted tickets. After we returned from our excursion, we were welcomed to our hotel room with snacks and a nicely written note welcoming us and asking if she could assist further to call. The hotel itself was very nice, heated pool, perrfect location just a short walk away from the marina, restaurants, parks and the beach. The rooms were fine, clean. They are in the process of renovating some of them. The fitness center was very nice. All brand new machines and very spacious. The complimentary buffet was above average and much nicer than I would have thought. Highly recommend this hotel for families and we WILL stay here again.

  First I have to mention that the breakfast buffet eaten on the patio overlooking the grounds and ocean was one of the best and most beautiful I've had anywhere. This is a laid back yet beautifully elegant property. Location is perfect, Service is excellent. Nobody has mentioned the Spa which is one of the best in southern CA! Our view from the room w/balcony overlooked the pool and ocean, and was beautiful either day or night.

  We arrived late in the evening to a very helpful staff. I was with my wife and 5 month old son. The service was very prompt, even when we requested a crib last minute. The room was beautiful and very cozy. The amenities were great and the pool was simple and nice. The concierge was very helpful, although she recommended a very loud restaurant for us with our small son, not very comfortable. And during the day while our son was sleeping the staff was quite loudly cleaning the rooms outside our door. But other than that, it was a great place to bring our family and do business and we will definitely stay here again.

  The most outstanding aspect of our visit to the Laguna Cliffs/ Dana Point was the world class service. The bellman who brought our bags to our room noticed my son's surf gear and went out of his way to make sure we had directions to local surf spots where the waves would be best. In the restaurant, our waiter recognized us by name after one meal! Every single employee that we met seemed to genuinely enjoy making sure that guests were taken care of. Our room had a gorgeous vaulted ceiling almost 20 feet high (room 3043) and windows that opened and looked out over meticulously maintained lawns with an unobstructed180 degree view of the ocean. We cannot wait to go back to this hotel.
