    My family and I had dinner at this hotel lTONIGHT. The food was awful, the service terrible and the waiter (Johan) was rude. We were charged a room fee (we were not staying at the hotel), a service charge (huh?!) and an 18% gratuity, when it should have been 15%. When we asked for an explanation the rude waiter barked at us, rolled his eyes and treated us like a bother. The hotel owner's daughter was kinder, but did nothing for us. In other words, not only did the rip us off, but they treated us horribly to boot!!! I for one will NEVER eat there again and would NOT EVER think of staying there. DO NOT GO THERE TO EAT, THAT IS MY ADVICE.

    We went to the restaurant and the salad was stale the pasta and chicken where over-cooked and disgusting, they charged us an 18% gratuity fee and a $12 dollar room fee (even though we did not stay at the hotel). We complained to the manager and she did not care. The waiter, "Ramon" was very rude. The service and food were terrible and overpriced. They will never see us again.

    We wanted to have a nice family dinner and overall the experience was horrible. The food and service were awful. I found a hair in my salad, my ice tea tasted old, as if it had been sitting out all day, the chicken pesto pasta was overcooked and tasted terrible. My mother-in-law's steak was overcooked and tough and my husband's hamburger looked like it came from an am pm mini-market. Our waiter, "Ramon," was rude, impatient and unfriendly. When we questioned the bill, he acted totally unprofessional and rude and gave us an explanation that made no sense. Besides overcharging us for the terrible tasting food, our waiter added on a room charge (eventhough we were not staying at the hotel), 18% gratuity, and a service fee. The meal was terrible and we just hope that we do not get food poisoning. I would definitely NOT recommend dining at this hotel.

    Room cleanliness - Room service did the best they could however the furnishings drapes, floor covering and etc was soiled and spotted- gen.mgr.should take responsibility and have cleaned. Airport shuttle - Only runs on a limited basis to SNA which caused us to make other arrangements.Room rate - the function we attended offered a reduced rate for three days only and the other days were manitory prepaid at a rate $20 above advertised rates which was unaceptable. I've stayed in much better accomadations which offered complimentary breakfast equivalent to what was offered in there restaurant.

    The first night I was given a room facing the freeway, BTW when I mean facing I mean its right next to it. The room was loud and I could not sleep, the desk help was nice to changing my room, but told me to come back later. When I returned later that evening the night staff was not as nice as the am folks. It became a battle of notes not written in there computer. I got moved and the rooms away from the freeway are much better.

    This is older Holiday Inn and it has the feel of an older hotel, it still has that stuffy feeling. There is real inconsistency in the staff some are nice and some not. The one thing I liked about this place was the rooms were big. A lot more room than your typical newer places.
