  We were looking for a cheap place to shower and relax for a few hours before attending the Lakers NBA Finals game and saw that this hotel was relatively cheap and close to the Staples Center. When we arrived the area around the hotel was rather supicous and included a ""Gentlemens Club."" Although it was only six blocks from the Staples center, i wouldnt stay again considering the whole placed smelled and seemed like a hotel out of an old scary movie. And although they advertise having a ""Celebrity Lounge,"" theres nothing fancy about it. Not to mention that when i arrived they didn't have my information, and ended up billing me twice. The accounting lady said they had a charge of $57 on file plus $10 parking which i paid cash, but there was another $75 charge made on my credit card that she didn't know about even though it said the Hotel's name on my billing statement.

  Befor I booked the Mayfair Hotel I was a bit sceptical with the mixed reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was easy to find, and the location is not that bad. Room was nice and clean and quiet. Beautiful of downtowm Los Angeles! the elevators are not slow. the mattress was comfortable. Lady at Gift shop was very nice. Enjoyed the harp player who was playing at night! Great hotel and I will stay there the next time I come to Los Angeles.

  The room was clean enough but I would not stay here again. The bathrooms were very small and when I turned on the fauset the water squirted brown. They have very old plumbing as well as the furniture....it was scratched and the drawers were falling apart. At night we heard scratching in the walls....may have been rats. At least the front desk was very helpful and friendly....thats the only good thing about this hotel. It need to be fixed up badly.

  CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN,STAPLES CENTER,SHOPPING MALLS.ROOMS ARE SMALL,ESPECIALLY THE BATHROOM,COFFE SHOP SERVICE WAS BAD!,THERE WAS A DRUNKEN BELLCAPTAIN FROM MY COUNTRY WHO TRY TO PICKUP MY WIFE!
