  We stayed for three nights at the Western Holiday Lodge in Three Rivers. I've been to Three Rivers several times; this was the first time staying at this lodge. The accomodations were excellent, the staff was helpful and friendly. The first night the manager reminded us 'not to miss the breakfast buffet', and that was a great reminder, as the buffet was as nice a 'continental breakfast' as I can imagine finding anywhere. The waffles were super. We had a great time; it is a great place to stay, and especially for the very reasonable price.

  We stayed at the Western Holiday Lodge on 7/18/09. We were able to check-in very early (9:45am) and the staff was very nice and accommodating to our needs. We stayed in a lower-level room with a nice little patio and chairs facing the hills. The room was very clean and the king-size bed and lush pillows were very comfortable. At night the curtains blacked out all light and it was very quiet â?? we never heard our neighbors. They serve a deluxe breakfast with bagels, waffles, toast, cereal and good coffee. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be going back!

• Family friendly motel near Sequoia National Park

  We decided to go to Sequoia National Park for the weekend as a last minute decision. Sadly, all lodging in the park was sold out. This was not a surprise so we decided to stay at the Western Holiday Lodge in Three Rivers. The drive up to the park was about an hour from there. Although the drive was steep, narrow, and had many twists and turns we enjoyed the scenery and stopped often to take in the view. Our kids loved the drive especially when a deer walked across the road right in front of us. The Western Holiday Lodge is a family and kid friendly budget motel. It was just fine for our 2 night stay. The motel and rooms are a bit dated but the room and bathroom were clean with clean bedding and towels;the most important factor as far as I am concerned;. The room was small and basic with a fridge and microwave. We stayed in a room upstairs and directly in front of the pool so there was some noise in the late afternoon and evening but we didn't mind because our kids were making their share of noise. All the noise quieted down by about 9pm when the pool closed for the night so that was great. The continental breakfast was very good but there wasn't much room to eat in the dining area. There were tables outside which was fine for us. The only drawbacks were that the pool could have been cleaner, the hot tub was cool, and the TV only broadcast a few channels. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again with our kids. We were unable to find any decent food in Three Rivers so be prepared to make sandwiches.

  The room was clean and comfortable. A little dated, but close to our destination. Upgraded to a room with kitchenette and fireplace when we arrived. Surprised by a complementary breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good local places to eat nearby.

  We had never been here before and was unsure what to expect, but we were treated very well here. The rooms were clean with a comfortable temperature and atmosphere. The staff VERY polite and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience all around. We will defineately be back!!
