  Nice place and short walk to attractions. If you are looking for a room with a view, this is not a choice, but it was a quiet, clean and comfortable room. The spa was a bit token (not inviting) and the parlor/breakfast room cramped for the midweek guests that came for the bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, juice and coffee. A second toaster would help. The parlor in the well maintained historic building that serves as the hotel lobby was much better suited for the very nice wine receptions held in the early evening (the guest rooms are in more modern buildings connected to the historic building by a small plaza). The parking fee, although not as steep as found in San Francisco hotels, was a surprise - we didn't squint enough to notice any advisory about it in our researching places to stay.

  It's a Best Western, so we knew it wasn't going to be luxurious. But we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was. Bed comfort was just OK. Wine/cheese reception and continental breakfast were nice. Desk staff were really courteous. $12/day parking fee, but you can leave your car in the garage for the day for free after you've checked out. It's a short, pleasant walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. You can buy Aquarium tickets at the hotel and get to enter at a special entrance, without standing in line. We'd stay here again.

  The Victorian implies in their photos and ads that it is a hotel within a victorian home. it is infact no more than a cinder block motel with a Victorian Lobby. Not worth the money.

  We've stayed at the Victorian Inn before but haven't been back for 5 years. It was just as nice as it's always been. The staff is friendly and professional, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The wine and cheese reception is a nice touch. The hotel is within walking distance to Cannery Row, the Aquarium and many other attractions. While the price is a little steep it's a quality hotel within walking distance to the ocean and other attractions. Check the prices at the Spindrift and the Monterey Plaza, now that's steep. If you want a less expensive place to stay you will most likely have to drive from there to Cannery Row. This is a nice quality, safe, clean hotel that's close to fun things to do.

  Convenient to aquarium and trail to downtown. wine hour and breakfast items are good quality. cost seems a bit high.
