  I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel room. I'd stayed in Manteca at another chain, which cost the same amount but didn't have as many amenities. The location was convenient, right off the freeway, breakfast was included, and the room contained a microwave, couch, and coffee table. I was also happy to see that the motel provided a bath mat to prevent slipping in the tub. Although my husband didn't accompany me this time, he is disabled, and all of the other places we've stayed did not provide a bath mat, which made us very uneasy. This showed that Comfort Inn thought of all the little things that make for a good experience overall. I'd definitely recommend this Comfort Inn and would gladly stay there again.

  Worst motel I think I ever stayed in and I am not a complainer, I am very easy going, but there's something just not right about this motel. First of all, we paid about the same price as we would have at a more upscale motel. We paid for the room with cash and was told that if we paid cash, there would be a $50.00 deposit on the room. We were tired and just wanted to be somewhere and settle in for the night, so we paid the deposit. When we opened the door to the room there was a distinct odor of urine-my husband had already carried some things to the door and was very tired from a very long day of traveling. I asked him if he wanted me to get another room and he suggested that we turn the air conditioner on. That did help the smell a little and I always carry a small candle with me when I travel,so I lit that for awhile. The next morning, I wasn't going to say much about the odor in the room, but the lady at the desk was so unfriendly and rude, I did say something. She told me that was a smoking room and I probably just smelled smoke. I told her that I knew the difference between urine odor and cigarette smoke. While I stood there, she called housekeeping and had them check our room before she would return our deposit. I will probably never stay at another Comfort Inn and definitely would not recommend them to anyone.
