• Perfect location at the base of the Sierras.

  This hotel was perfect for my needs. i was easy to find and at a great location for spending the night before heading up the windy hills of the sierras.

  The room needed some serious updating. It smelled dirty, the shower was so small I kept hitting my elbows on the walls and I am only 5'2". There was a hole in the wall of the shower that cold air came through. The room was very small. One nice thing though was it came with a microwave and fridge. The coffee pot fell apart when I tried to use it in the morning. Won't stay there again.

• Cheap But Not Worth It!!!

  We were visiting UC Merced and the second night when we returned to our room we found they had locked us out. The hotel manager claimed we only paid for one night, which was not true because my receipt said 2 nights for $*. He reluctantly let me back in the room and later called me and said he called travelocity and everything was okay. He never apologized for the trouble and inconvience of having us locked out of our room in the rain in 45 degree weather. I just couldn't beleive that even with the receipt I had so much trouble. Besides that the train comes through maybe twice an hour at night and your right at the 99 freeway and the walls are paper thin, you can hear every car and truck that goes by. If you want a quiet and hassle free trip dont stay here.
