  Hotel is the best one I've stayed at in Oceanside. Location is awesome, rooms are fairly spacious, and the features of the room are above average. *SO* much better than the Motel 6 down the street!

  My trip centered around my son's homecoming to Camp Pendleton after serving a second tour of duty in Iraq. This hotel is about as close as you can get to the front gate (about 2 minutes away by car) and was convenient for us all to get together without wasting any of our precious time on the busy roadways.
  The staff was extremely courteous and friendly and quick to respond to any needs, concerns or questions. As an early riser, the continental breakfast was just right for grabbing a peice of fruit and coffee before heading out for a walk in the morning.
  Maid service was above par. My room was cleaned spotlessly every day.
  The location was not only extremely convenient to the base but as a female traveling alone to meet other family members, I felt very safe here. The parking area and walkways were well lit and quiet at night. The property is walking distance to the harbor and the beach making it very nice for those who like to get up early and start the day with a brisk walk.
  In summary, if your trip is centered around the base and you just want a clean, safe, comfortable place to stay with a convenient location, this is the place. Overall it gets a five star rating for the purpose of my visit.
  Additionally, it's convenient to all major routes in the area. I especially enjoyed cruising down route 101 exploring some of the little beach towns. (Routes 101 and 5 are just a turn out of the driveway).

  The hotel is close to the i-5 freeway and that's a good thing because everything in the area is spread out. the oceanside harbor and beach is walking ...

  The hotel is close to the I-5 freeway and that's a good thing because everything in the area is spread out. The Oceanside Harbor and beach is walking distance, and there are good restaurants as well as gift shops in that area. If you're looking for a cheap stay this would be it. I do not recommend it for honeymoons, or extended stays. The continental breakfast leaves much to be desired.

  We were assigned a first floor non-smoking room, because we had one senior adult with us, but the room was located between two smoking rooms and it smelled of smoke. We asked for another room, which the front desk changed for us with no questions asked. We unfortunately did not have a room that over looked the harbor, but we had a very nice stay. The area the motel was located was quiet, with several restaurants, and Oceanside Harbor within walking distance. Our room was clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast consisted of danish, muffins, fruit, cereal, juice, tea and coffee.
