  A big window that opens (!), a comfortable king sized bed with plenty of pillows, a hot breakfast, a sitting area with a second tv, good lighting for reading, a fridge and microwave, complimentary internet and phone, ample parking, a helpful staff - we loved our stay here and would come back again in a minute.

• Good Hotel - Bad Housekeeping

  We are just home from a 3 day stay at this hotel and I have mixed feelings about it. The hotel isn't bad, although the carpets, etc. really could be cleaner. The kids ran around the run in their socks and their socks were BLACK! Also, the air conditioner in the room leaked (sprayed droplets?) The carpet was WET in front of it. Mold issue? The beds were comfy, but I just felt like the comforters had never been laundered. They have cards that you leave on the pillow when you want the linens changed and we did ask for them to be changed once. They ignored the cards and just made the beds! They left the extra towels that we asked for. They left the towels that were hanging on the shower bar and that is what we intended, but they left the large pile of wet, dirty towels that we left on the bathroom floor and we had 3 adults and three children! They did not refill the bathroom tissue and we ran out, although there were two holders! They ask that you not bring room towels down to the pool, but they do not keep the pool towels stocked, so unless you want a cold trip back to your room, you should bring down towels. The pool was cold, but nice. The hot tub was nice. The front desk staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was really good with hot and cold items, but you need to go down early as they do not replenish well. If I were to stay again, I WOULD complain about the poor housekeepeing if it happened again because we didn't this time and it did effect the quality of our stay. I am going to email the hotel directly.

  Our stay here was uneventful. The floors were dirty in our room and in the hallways/stairs. There was hair on the accent pillow on the bed. The card that said "we clean you room between each person..." had a coffee ring on it. Nice.
  We were staying here overnight and flying out of Portland. They have advertised free airport shuttle, but it's only free if you are checked into the hotel on both sides of your flight. When we got the shuttle back to the hotel, we were charged $30. When my husband complained at the front desk that we weren't told we would have to pay for the trip back, the manager was very rude and said they make it a point to tell you twice. When he said again that we weren't told this she just ignored him. Very poor customer service. We will never stay in a Phoenix Inn Suites again.

  The first room they gave me smelled like smoke, they moved me immediately. any hotel can have a problem, the phoenix solved it fast and exceptionally courteously.

  The Phoenix Inn is great if you're looking for a nice place to stay. The beds and the leather sofa are especially comfortable. Everything about this place was great! It has a nice lobby, nice room decor, and a great breakfast! Would definitly come back!!!
