  We have visited the Inn at the Tides at least once a year for the last few years. The last visit was VERY DISAPPOINTING. We stayed downstairs w/fireplace. The place is in need of some serious maintenance. Bed was soft and lumpy. When the people upstairs flushed, it sounded like we were inside the toilet bowl and the waves were coming. Housekeeping came knocking at 9:10am after the first night of our stay. We started a fire in the fireplace and was almost smoked out (yes, the flue was open). Next morning we discovered the vents were completely blocked with dust and debris due to years of neglect. Smoke alarm low battery started beeping that a.m. too. Mgmt replaced, but didn

  My fiance and I checked in mid week on the start of our week long vacation up the Northern Ca coast. This Inn had many ameneites including a nice restaurant and pool facility. I liked the property because the building were spread out up the hill allowing most rooms full views with very nice landscaping. We Had a nice King room with real wood buring fireplace with vaulted ceilings. Upon entering our room, we noticed the nice large closet to place all my items. I opened the closet and it completely fell back and bashed the wall. We discovered next that our TV was broken and had terrible audio with snowy picture. While we were asleep this first night, to our surprise we had a a nice visitor at 4am in the morning in our room.. large mouse or rat who decided to prance around the tile floors in and out of the bathroom. Needless to say, we each refused to jump out of bed in the dark to investigate the little guy or have it jump on our bed. I freaked out completely not wanting to move. The room itself was nice and big, the pictures on the wall very outdated. The views were great. In regards to our second night, we slept ok no more new problems, The General Manager was vey nice to work with and he listened attentively to our complaints and is working on refunding the first nights stay due to Rattatouie in our room. I would consider staying here again because the location and the nice management staff. Next time I will request the hotel cat to stay with me! I hope this helps.

  Made a return trip to the Tides Inn and stayed in the king vault room with fireplace. Room was very well appointed and quiet. Enjoyed the fireplace, spa tub, and comfortable bed. Drawbacks were the wireless internet did not work due to weak signal. The carpet was also stained and had many holes burned from fireplace embers. All in all, a nice stay in a very relaxing and friendly location. This was our second trip to this hotel and it was definately better than our first!
