  Hotel is in beautiful setting. Staff friendly and efficient. Room clean and view of bay and Coronado Bay Bridge great. Within walking distance to small shops and restaurants. Quiet and relaxing. Pool and lounges inviting. Food very good but pricey. Would definitely recommend resort and would stay in future. Bike rentals close and lots of walking paths. Wonderful view of city of San Diego.

  The hotel was beautiful, check in was pleasant. We checked in the day before our wedding so of course we were all a flutter with activity and excitement. Apparently weddings and honeymoons are nothing special here. They were less than enthusiastic to say the least. That was a little disappointing. Cost of parking was a bit hefty, considering the amount we paid for the room.

  Front desk people are very helpful and friendly, clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Nice view, very accesible to downtown by water taxi. Close to downtown Coronado with lots of restaurants and shopping. People are very pleasant in the hotel restaurant, and I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Our only drawback is parking , very expensive! I was hoping that it's free for the residents. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to everyone.

  The hotel is located in a beautiful spot and has beautiful grounds. I found the hotel clean enough but the furniture rather worn, the room had no fridge and access to wi-fi was an extra charge. Also there was a pervading smell of disinfectant . The gym does not look clean and the machines also have a worn out look. The staff was friendly and room service was prompt. My family and I were disappointed with the overall quality of the hotel, in the past we have stayed at other Marriot hotel that have been much better appointed.

  After reading some of the reviews, we weren't sure what to expect, but were impressed by the comfortable, well-lit room and excellent service. Our room must have been recently renovated, as the furnishings were very up to date and we had a nice flat screen TV. The shower was excellent, with good water pressure and temperature adjustment.
  
  We spent some time by the pool, which was very nice, although the bar wasn't open. Try to spend an evening around the fire pits, which are very cozy. We rented bicycles from the Spa, which were less expensive than at the nearby rental places. But get up early on a Sunday if you want your best choices.
  
  Service was excellent. We needed a hair dryer, and it was there within 20 minutes. The bellman was knowlegable and friendly, providing us information about the local ferry options (including recomending the nearby city ferry as opposed to the more expensive Marriott water taxi).
  
  The location is great for watching the sailboats come up and down the bay. It's a great location in you want to go across to the city and the gaslamp district, but its a good 15 minute bike ride from the beach on the west side of the island.
  
  There is an Albertsons and a few nice restaurants nearby. We liked Peohe's at the ferry landing.
  
  Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. Although the Del gets all the attention, we found it to be swamped by tourists (like us), and the service was marginal as a result. The Del had the feel of a corporate theme park, not a five star world class hotel. I definitely would stay here again, and plan to.
