  After a 300 mile road trip my girlfriend and I could wait to get a room to clean up and relax. Most of the hotels on that strip look similar so we decided to get a room at the Quality Inn. The desk clerk was out when we arrived. When he arrived minutes later I noticed the distinct odor of marijuana. I'm not saying that he smelled like it. I'm only saying that the odor became present when he did. We got the room for just one night. It was on the ground floor. I noticed that the window locks were removed from the windows. That became a security concern because I noticed a lot of hitchhikers and transients in areas along the US101. I found the locks and secured the windows. The beds were made but the carpet did not appear clean. The bathroom had the usual courtesy toiletries but did not appear very clean either as I noticed a large dead beetle on the floor. On the plus side, the beds were made, clean and comfortable. I do not plan to return to this hotel. I would not recommend it to any friends. I do not know how the surrounding hotels compare to this one (as far as price, service, and overall quality) but if they are similar, I would skip Eureka hotels all together.

  This is an aging facility that has been cosmetically renovated but has serious issues with all of the mechanical systems. The water temp. in the shower would swing wildly from hot to cold and back again without warning. The room was humid and smelled of mold. There is no AC, but an oscillating fan is provided for circulation.
  
  On our 3rd day there, the room was not cleaned and the desk person suggested that we must have left the ?Do Not Disturb? placard on the door and smugly offered to provide us with clean towels! We stated that we were going out to dinner and the room could be cleaned while we were gone, and it was.
  You can do a lot better for a $* bucks a night.
  Go to the Motel 6, folks.

  On arrival we found our room to be dirty,complete with a used unflushed toilet, our next room was cleaner but barely tolerable and extremely odorous, mix that with the feces in the pool and the breakfast that barely was-we will never stay again, we will never recommend this hotel,

The water temp. in the shower would swing wildly from hot to cold and back again without warning. The room was humid and smelled of mold.
