  We needed a place to stay while our grandson was in a baseball tournament. The price was right considering it was Labor Day weekend. Most of the staff were courteous & helpful. The place DOES need a serious face lift, but our room was very clean. Wonderful Mexican Seafood restaurant across the parking lot.

  This is the third time we have stayed here. The employees were excellent, helpful and very professional. It was exceptionally clean. The only complaint I had was it was noisy! We were in a room the first time that faced the back of the hotel and it was pretty quiet. But the last two times we were in the same room facing the front of the hotel and right next to the stairway. We heard traffic and people outside going up and down the stairway late at night. We would stay again but ask for a room facing the back of the hotel.

  Stayed for 4 nights for business in August 2008. Staff was very friendly, everything was very clean - as a matter of fact, while cleaning our room, the staff person stressed how important it was to vacuum the rug in a particular way so as to create a ""nice pattern"". My electronic key wouldn't work one morning and the staff helped me resolve the issue immediately. Some connectivity problems with the wireless internet - got better signal in the lobby/waiting area than in the room at times. The continental breakfast was nice - as long as you got there early. They have pastries, breads with toasters, all of the condiments - as well as cereal, juice, coffee and home made waffles. The pool area was nice, as was the spa/hot tub. Never heard any of our ""neighbors"" while in the room, it was very quiet. Very close to highways, short drive to the ""main drag"" in Chula Vista. Overall, a very nice experience.

  Restroom in lobby out of order, when you take a shower the water temp goes from hot to cold. but heard no noise, room average. close to freeway.
