  My husband and I came to San Diego for baseball. Petco was only a few minutes away as well as Old Town, Seaport Village, San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and airport. Room was smaller than expected, but had everything needed. Always clean and water pressure was perfect. The front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. We went to the Zoo and the tickets we bought at front desk was cheaper than the gate. They recommended Pizza Nova across the street and must say it was one of the best pizzas that we've had and I'm originally from NY! Parking was free and never had problems finding a space. We felt safe coming and going and throughout the area. The pool looked inviting and clean, didn't have time to take a dip. Can't beat the price, could have paid more and went to a luxury hotel, but glad we didn't, this hotel was comfortable and fantastic staff. We stayed at a luxury hotel in Pasedena at the end of this trip and we both said we enjoyed the Ramada more!

• run down, poor security and overpriced

  I normally don,t write reviews,but had to on this one. it currently is rated at 3 smiley faces wich is why I chose it, yet as I look at the reviews closely, 6 out of 7 people would not stay again. The hotel is WAY overpriced, run down, mouldy caulking in bathroom, thin almost see-through towels, and the shower rod coming loose from the wall.

  This was a good hotel to stay at. And the rice was right as well. I can tell you it does not smell bad at all. It is true that the fire door exit at the end of the first floor hallway was open when we went to our room about 7PM. And it was standing open when we came out at about 8AM. The lady at the front desk said they close it at nite. The room was not large but was comfortable. The carpet was clean, the bedspread looked good, there were 5 large fluffy pillows on our king size bed. Breakfast was free and airport shuttle was prompt and complimentary. The only complaint I would have is that the shower water pressure was very weak but the tub faucet had strong water pressure. I think this all had to do with water conservation. Again, we would stay again.

• The most smelly place I have ever stayed in

  I would never ever recomend this place, the rooms were really dirty, dark, smelly, this place was depresing and really in need of a good desinfection. we paid over 120 ...

  I would never ever recomend this place, the rooms were really dirty, dark, smelly, this place was DEPRESING and really in need of a good desinfection. We paid over 120 dollars for each room, I think it is sooooo not worth it. Thank good we were only going to stay 1 night!!!!!.
  Please don't stay in this hotel.
