  We knew going in, this would be a low budget property, but the city was booked solid for a rather large community event and we had no choice. We were not, however, prepared for the rude and combative behavior of the management. Our reservation was incorrect (even though I had reconfirmed with their 800 reservation line one week earlier) and after a battle with the manager and his attemps to "walk" us (which we would have gladly done, had we not just driven 5 hours in record heat and been with friends), we ended up paying MORE than the quoted price. The property looked at least clean from the website, but the rooms were dark, dingy and had bugs. Our microwave and refridgerator were in the closet and not working. Don't let the nice grass and trees in the photos' fool you. The management here has no concept of customer service or customer satisfaction. Our complaints went unheard and only got us more grief. Don't bother!

  In the middle of the night the radio in the next room went on loudly, i couldn't get mgr by phone so walked across parking lot in nightgown ...

  In the middle of the night the radio in the next room went on LOUDLY, I couldn't get mgr by phone so walked across parking lot in nightgown to get them to turn it off. Next night loud guests yelling outside our room at 3AM. Lamp in room broken, mgr refused to replace (said it was ""extra""). Heater so loud we had to turn it off at night, room was FREEZING. Rooms grubby, bathroom cramped. Only reason to go back is that it's cheapest place with wireless Internet. We won't go back.

  The room was horrible. Did you ever see the movie Vacancy? I would rather have stayed there... Continental breakfast - What a joke. When i went to get my breakfast, in the lobby there was a platter with cheap danishes and i dont remember there even being coffee. The shower had mold all over and i was totally disgusted... I HATE THIS PLACE!

  to start off i was a guest with my sister in this "hotel" room. more like a prision cell. when you pull into the drive way you are instantaneously disappointed. you already know that travel lodeges are not top of the line, but considering the area more then often sells out you think the would tidy up a bit since they get alot of business and can easily afford it. you walk into the "lobby" the front desk area is a mess and it smells and no one greets you. the front desk clerk sneers at you when they have to get off the phone to check you in. Every question goes un answered and every comment is rude. The room consists of rats, dirty bedding, broken lights, no housekeeping performed, no clear tv channels, and scorching hot during the day and cold during the night. after we checked out and they refused to give us a receipt my sister found out they over charged our stay. we shoud have just camped on the side of the road.... if this is your last resort for a nights stay in paso robles keep in mind that its the worst hotel, it does not do any justice to travel lodge, their is no consequences for their actions and youre paying the same rate as a 5 start hotel when this place is in reality lower then a motel. ive stayed in places in TJ mexico that went above and beyond this. On a lighter note they did serve stail muffins and chalky tang juice for breakfast; so lovely. We opted for mcdonalds.
