  The Travelodge just south of SFO was perfect for my one night stay to catch an early flight. My room was large and clean. I couldn't get my keycard to open the door so the night manager walked me to my room and opened it for me. The bed was extra comfy. The clock radio worked and my wake-up call was prompt. The shuttle to the airport was right on time.

  Stayed 1 night. This hotel a is fantastic place to stay close to SFO. The room was very nice, the A/C worked well, TV had lots of available channels, and the shower was excellent. There were several restaurants in a strip mall across the street...a very short walk.

  I had read several reviews of the Travelodge San Fran Airport South before I decided to stay here! I had read many good reviews and I was not disappointed! The Front Desk service was friendly, prompt, and appropriate. I asked some questions about tours and other details about the city of San Francisco (I was my first visit) and they were all answered. Despite the fact that the printer for the patrons cost a quarter per page, I was not charged to print out my boarding. Then, I was not charged for a local phone call I made! I thought that it was quite good customer service. The continental breakfast was more than adequate, with baked goods (buns, rolls, waffles, cinnamon toast, english muffins), hard boiled eggs, apples and bananas, and some sliced meats and cheeses, along with the juice, milk, and coffee. The cleaning service was also good. I also loved the proximity to public transportation and the availability of restaurants/drugstores nearby. Only a 2 minute walk from the commuter rail (Caltrain) and BART and only 1 mile from the Airport made this a wonderful location! I would definately stay at this hotel again!

  Free wi-fi, breakfast, and shuttle were wonderful as was being so close to BART/CalTrain. This is the only hotel in the area that was less than a 5 minute walk and it felt like a safe neighborhood. However, I wouldn't recommend for someone who needs a lot of quiet to sleep. Traffic, train, and airplane noise were common, as was noise from other rooms both above and beside ours. Not a huge problem for me, but something to keep in mind. Also our room only had a shower, so you may want to confirm before booking if a long soak in the tub after walking up and down Bay Area hills is in order. Location was perfect to visit friends to the south as well as an easy BART ride to tour the city.

  We selected the hotel because it is a stone's throw from the airport and offers free 24-hr shuttle service. The shuttle drivers were great, always on time and courteous. Their suggested tip is $1 per bag but we paid more than that because they were so great. The hotel offered such comfortable beds, very nicely decorated and clean room. Only thing that bothered us is the ""queen"" bed is really a full so it was a tight squeeze for 2 plump adults and with the beds so high up, I was definitely worried about falling out when hubby rolled over but it worked out. There are several restaurants within walking distance - the first two extremely overpriced (Japanese house that appeared in desperate need of renovation or even a cleaning and a snooty place across from it), obviously taking advantage of ""tourist dollars"". Next block is fantastic ""diner"" that offers unique beers and elegant foods. Son & I are fine dining chefs and we felt very cozy and well-fed there. Also nice was the cozy wicker chairs in front of the hotel while awaiting the shuttle and free coffee inside. Definitely a nice place.
