  bed was sleepable- even for 2. floors looked like they had not seen a housekeeper for days and days. t.v. and wi-fi were fine. Location was perfect for being on foot to convention center and places of interest. (recomend CHOPS for dinner for 2). the room smelled bad and we were not comfortable having the door open to air it out.

  I reserved a non-smoking room and the first room stunk of heavy smoke. They nicely got me another room. The chairs had stains all over them. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower was old and I had to bend my knees to get my head under it (I'm only 5'6''). The free continental breakfast is orange juice, coffee and packaged muffins and danishes. I would not stay there ever again and I would not recommend it. "

  I read the reviews from other travellers. Some liked it, some hated it. I have to side with those who did not like it. The odor of cleaning fluids was overwhelming. Trying to air out the room did not help. The room was noisy and they charged us an incidental fee for the safe we did not use. The bed was OK.

  I stayed at the Travelodge because of financial issues. However, if I knew it would be that bad I would have definatley choose some other place. The chaulking in the shower needs to be re-done. There were also some very undesirable folks hanging around the facility at night. And, the hallways for the rooms were outside.

  Pluses: clean rooms and bathrooms, good beds, working TVs, efficient staff; free parking and internet access; walking distance to downtown and old town attractions; excellent Italian restaurant, Sofia, across the road. Minuses: Breakfast is tea, coffee, orange juice and sugar-laden muffins and Danish pastry.
