  This is a good place to stay if you need to scrimp a little and need a place to use as home base but don't plan to spend much time there. I would not recommend it for children because it is very near a marine base and drew a number a loud and profane young marines who tend to be much more intent on partying and much less on considering their motel neighbors. Staff were very friendly and quick to address any noise issues reported to them.

  The hotel is next to a highway. and you hear traffic all night long. The Maid service is the pits, very little maid service, and did not even replace the toilet paper, or pick up trash. The door to the room, and bed shaks when the people in the adjoining rooms shut their doors. Shower curtain has heave meldew on it so obviously has not been cleaned in a very long time. When the maid cleaned the room it was obvious that instead of replacing the towels with fresh ones, all the maid done was refold the old ones and hang them back up.

  I booked this hotel so i could visit with my Boyfriend who is a marine stationed at Camp Pendleton for a few days in May 2007. The Hotel is extremely close to the base and it is in a really good location. VERY close to the beach and if i remember correctly a few restaurants such as Dennys. I couldn't hear the highway traffic at all. The bathrooms are very tiny and the shower heads are set down just a tiny bit low, not too badly, but over all everything was very clean and well kept. Beds are very comfortable. Staff was nice although we didn't really deal with them much. My only complaint was that we could definitely hear the people next door opening and slamming their doors and talking but i'm pretty sure we just had noisy neighbors. If you're just looking for something inexpensive yet decent I certainly suggest you stay in this hotel. I am actually in the midst of planning my next stay with them in March 2008.

  The room was clean and well cared for each day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt safe at all times. There was a lot of traffic noise but it was not noticed if the door and windows were closed. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see and within walking distance to some shops and places to eat. We could see the beach from our bathroom window. The only bad thing we noticed was that if the air conditioner was off the room had a funny odor to it and there were some stains on the carpet. We stayed four days.

  Very friendly staff, very helpful. Clean room, good shower, easy to find, good parking for my over-sized truck. If you're lookiing for a good place to spend the night, you've found it.
  After checking out and being around 50 miles away from the motel, we noticed that we forgot a rather expensive item in our room and returned to see if we could retrive it, No problem, it was right where we left it!
  Remember, this is an economy motel and as such, some of the tenants looked rather questionable, but nobody bothered us. Who knows, maybe they thought the same of us!
