Great location near downtown Los Gatos and friendly staff. Easy self parking but a terrible stay. Hotel is behind a highschool and I arrived on a Friday for two days; I checked out early the next morning after one night. The highschool was having a football game so I heard the announcer and screaming fans until 10:30pm. My room was old, musty, dirty and had the stench of cigarette. Walls and carpet were stained, pillows were flat, linens were worn and the bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. I expected a cozy lodge feeling but I did not find it. The bar was old and worn. Happy hour consisted of cold tiny meatballs and dried up slices of cheese; I decided to pass on dinner at the hotel. The guests were rowdy; men outside my patio door talking loudly at 1am. Male guests in the bar earlier were rough looking so I decided to avoid the pool. Property needs major renovation and updating.

The Lodge was just as we had predicted. It was very old but very clean. Rooms not remodled in quit a few years. Staff was friendly. Morning breakfast was OK for those not on a gluten free diet. They ran out of hot water so we did not get our morning tea. It is in great location. A two minute dive to a ton of great restaurants and lots of shops and of course our doctor. The price was definately right so we may stay at the Lodge again and take the money we save over the newer trendier hotels and go shopping.

We stayed here on vacation with our two younger boys. I booked the room through Travelocity but when we checked in, there was no record. Fortunately, I had the Travel website confirmation printout. The hotel clerk was apologetic and very accommodating. He booked our room for us and said he would take care of the rest...which I found out later required long hold times on the phone to get this squared away. Although I offered to contact Travel website directly, he said he didn't want us to have to worry about anything. I was quite impressed! The hotel was obviously built in the '60's and the rooms and grounds maintained some of the personality of that era. The room ceiling was open beam; the bathroom had a window which was nice for ventilation; the furniture and colors were retro; etc. The room was clean and large enough for the four of us. The balcony overlooked a grassy area and was a nice size. The pool was nice but needed some cosmetic repairs. The complimentary continental breakfast was well set, clean, with quality food. It's only served Mon-Friday though, so we were on our own on Sunday. The hotel is located right off the freeway and was easy to find. It's also close to downtown Los Gatos, an upscale shopping and restaurant area which provided a nice place for an evening walk. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good Day all, First let me give you a little insight. I had a cold when I arrived. My plane landed late, to late for room service and I had just left the office before I boarded the plane. ( By the way the plane tore my luggage and let's just say the unmentionables were all over the carousel) Pretty horrible day. When I arrived at the Lodge at 9:40p I was greeted with smiles and how may I help you? ( I know you think typical wording, But it had more feeling then some friends of mine that week....They were prompt and accomodating.. I was able to receive a light snack although I was past Room Service hours. The staff were sweet and helpful. Heard my whole crazy story and even mentioned they could assist with finding me another bag. My bed was so comfortable I was able to sleep very well which was the one worry I had considering I felt as if I had the worst cold in history... I then met another staff member who was helpful with food, & directions and so much more. The Lodge was a great experience overall *** To say the least I loved my stay and this was for business!!!! (Training). Even though I was unwell, they helped me so much. Loved IT!!!
