  I stayed at the Westin in Nov. 2009 and the poor service from the staff throughout my stay was just wow, the hotel is missing a lot of the hotel basics which is really sad to see. I paid $* for a four star hotel, oops. It feels like you are staying in a Motel 8 that has not been renovated yet, many signs of wear in the hotel, the front desk staff was helpful, but the male manager was very very rude and spent most of the time looking at his phone instead of helping me. The phone operator was very friendly and made the stay better, but the service and in the restaurant quickly took that away. The staff is slow at everything, management is I am sure to blame. They nickel and dime you for everything, parking is now $*, internet is $*, lobby internet is $*!! The entire parking lot was empty, but the $* charge was full! Will stay at the Hyatt down the road for a much better value, their rooms are brand new and the food choices are beyond amazing, plus its $* a night!

  I have the priviledge of staying at many Westins across the US and this is NOT one of their shining stars. On a bad day, it comes across as a glorified Holiday Inn. The lobby area is high volume and showing obvious signs; half of the rooms have a view of satellite dishes on the roof; in warm weather, the AC cannot keep up; the front desk is mostly non responsive and the food is very lackluster. Without the heavenly beds, this would be a disaster!

  Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms, clean, and friendly ambience. Lots of amenities. One thing no one tells you until you get there--there is an extra parking fee of $ per night. With no other options, the fee becomes mandatory. The hotel is located right next to the bay with a view of SFO runways. There is no jet noise, however, and you can just watch planes leaving from your room. There is also a walkiing/running path right across the street that follows the bay. Beautiful. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

  I arrived around 8pm after a 12 hour flight from Munich. This place is an oasis for travelers. Great staff, comfy beds and nice amenities. My only compliant is that my connecting flight left early the next am and I did not have a chance to enjoy the hotel a bit more!

  1. Our room was given away even though pre paid.. hotel excuse was there were a large events @ the hotel and some attending didn't have reservations. So that became my problem. After over an hour wait they put us up in the Clarion next door..a dirty hotel and only a king bed to share with my mother! Yikes ! 2. the restaurant: double yikes!! dinner service which was gifted the next day by the hotel.( when we actually were given a room or our own with 2 beds) was awful. Only one server, seating was almost full.. took 57 minutes to get a bowl of cold soup.. dinner was returned. Our food was cold but looked as if it had sat under the heat lamp. My mother ate 3 shrimp from her kabobe because she is on medication and needed something in her stomach. She was ill that night. 3. the hotel needs a clean sweep of all services and re education on service, health requirements in food handeling and management.
