Typical Doubletree...the hotel is conveniently located in a major metropolitan area; parking is ample; rooms are spacious, well appointed and very clean. However service is PREDICTABLY AWFUL!! I've stayed in Doubletrees at multiple locations across the US; and the service is consistently bad. For two full hours I attempted to order room service; no one ever answered the phone. Then I started calling the front desk to find out why no one ever answered the phone in the restaraunt. No one ever answered the phone at the front desk, despite the fact that I dialed multiple times over a one hour period. I finally broke down and called the "customer care" number which is advertised as a line to make special requests (if getting someone to answer a phone at the front desk can be considered a "special request"). Guess what? No one ever answers that number either. I was finally forced to go out and track down dinner at a local restaraunt. I also called and asked for a 5:30am wake up call, which I did not receive. Fortunately I anticipated they would screw this up as well, so I set the alarm on my cell phone as well. When I complained about all this the next morning, the lady at the counter said, "sorry to hear you had such a negative experience. Hopefully your next experience will be better." Yea, like that is gonna happen,

  • We liked. And will come back.

Very clean bed, room, bathroom. everything worked fine, even the water in the bath tube flows away when you take shower.

Stayed here and parked my car for a trip from LAX. The 7:30am shuttle driver was late (7:40) and then drove in the opposite direction to drop off two guys in front of some office building while travelers wondered out loud where we were going. The driver was rude. What tardy airport driver would ask "why are you in such a hurry?" He did. The hotel is sooo close to the airport, it should truly take only five minutes. It took over 30 minutes and we arrived too late to check-in our bags. We missed our flight to Hawaii and spent two days in LAX waiting "standby." The rooms were decent and the two front desk people were very nice. But the managers were real jerks, especially the woman. They overcharged me for the parking and was real rude about it. I would NOT stay here if you need to return to the LAX airport. And if you have any problems, don't count on them to do anything about it or to own up to it.

We regularly stay here for one-night layovers. It's a good basic hotel. Weekend rates are better than weekday rates -- think business travelers during the week. Room is fine: modern, reasonably well appointed (mini-fridge, safe), clean, and in good condition, but a little cramp if you get a room with two beds. During our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovation, so you'll have to pardon the construction "mess." The restaurant is a little pricey. Airport shuttle service starts on the hour and runs every 30 minutes, starting, I believe, at 4 AM. The fitness room had the standard cardio equipment plus free weights, one pair each of 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. The fitness room is very similar (actually, looks standardized in terms of equipment) to that found at the Hilton Garden Inn, just down the street and around the corner. Makes sense, since DoubleTree is a Hilton brand. As such, if you like the DoubleTree, you'll find the Hilton Garden Inn to be a comparable place.

Great location - close to airport, but didn't notice a lot of airport noise. Close to freeways. It's in a business park setting and area seemed very safe. Convenient, free parking. Rooms were very clean and service very good.

The only downside was that one of the elevators was broken during our 4 day stay, so elevator service was slow. The business center only had two computers, so at times you had to wait (a short time) to use it.

All in all, we had a very good experience and would stay there again.
