  Staff was totally unsociable - not mean, not nice, just robotic and non-smiling. got to my room, there was a cigarette in a cup of water on the nightstand. crap ...

  Staff was totally unsociable - not mean, not nice, just robotic and non-smiling. Got to my room, there was a cigarette in a cup of water on the nightstand. Crap on the carpet, too. There was an ironing board, but no iron. THere was a TV, but most of the channels were staticky and the remote control didn't work. Two lamps did not even have bulbs in them. No radio, just a 2 dollar alarm clock that did not go off at the correct time. Thought I would ty to save a little money, but this place is NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
  
  I would definitely NOT stay here again.

  Booked a non-smoking room but the room certainly smelled like smoke. yuk! wanted to use pool but it was empty. loud trains nearby. breakfast was pretty decent. staff was ...

  Not for everyone. For those looking simply for a place to sleep, price cannot be beat.Rooms are clean and spacious if slightly worn and in need of redecorating.Industrial zone, w/occasional industrial sounds/trains. Rough areas of Richmond NOTtoo nearby. Thin walls. Nowhere else in entire Bay Area this cheap. Suits my needs fine. People are nice, if slightly uninformed. Occasionally dubious characters in the parking lot, but not unsafe.Stayed twice w pleasant visits, no complaints nor problems. Great East Bay location. Some rooms free wireless access. Others not even cell reception.
