  I live in Sacramento but stay here often for the Folsom night life, all the food and live music is right across the street, and the hotel is very clean, comfortable & quiet. I've had friends come hang out from out of town and they love it also! I always bring my bicycle and kayak with me, as the bike trails and Lake Natoma are right in the backyard. Look forward to going back many more times in the near future!

  Stayed at hotel 11/8-11/9/08. The hotel looks very nice from the outside, but the inside needs some major upgrades. Looks like they're trying to be a classy hotel, but still has some leftovers from a motel. When we arrived there were people outside smoking - did not like the fact that we had to arrive through a cloud of smoke! Looked like the hotel was pretty full with weddings and wedding receptions. There was only one preson on duty at the front desk. Did not see any hotel staff around. Had to wait in line for 10 minutes to check in. The elevator has some funky 70's carpet. Stayed on the 4th floor. Reserved a room with king bed, whirlpool tub, fireplace, and river view. The room was small! The whirlpool took up most of the room -- right next to the bed. A person could jump from one to the other. We could tell the room had not been touched in awhile. All the clocks were 3 hours off and different times. The tub was sticky and had not been cleaned, as well as the area around the tub -- the cauking job looked like someone took a tube of toothpase to make repairs -- very sloppy. The room had indoor/outdoor carpet -- looked very worn. Bed was lumpy. Fireplace was more of a glow -- not too much fire. Our stay was dissapointing. The hallways look like those of convelessant homes. Need to soften them up with some pictures and maybe some potted plants -- very sterile. I have worked at some high end hotels and my expectations were a little higher for this property. We paid over *** to stay here, and will not be repeating this experience! My suggestion is to stay someplace downtown!

  Wife and I go out every few months for a ""Romantic"" getaway. We stayed in one of the jacuzzi rooms and it was everything we had hoped for. The hotel itself is within easy walking distance of Old Town and on a Friday night the place was hopping. Many shops are open till late and you can do as much window shopping as you'd like. Snooks Candy is right there and you can't find a better selection! Many restaurants many night spots with live music. The room we stayed in was clean, up to date and tasteful. The jacuzzi was wonderful and my wife LOVED the fireplace. We don't ever go back to the same place twice just because we love to explore, but we will definitely go back!

  Hotel looks beautiful from outside. Rooms are old. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Each time someone used the water I could hear it run down the pipes next to the bed. Between the two I was awake every hour. Pool and hot tub are outside so if it's winter you can't use them. For the price I expected better.
