  Not an updated holiday inn express, but comfortable. close to beautiful beaches, del mar race track and quaint restaurants. complimentary breakfast is a plus, (but weak coffee).

  We were quite happy with our stay. Maybe a block away from the beach. We walked down to the beach several times each day. Beach was not crowded during low tide. Guest services were helpful and accomodated our requests. Complimentary service included scrambled eggs and warm cinnamon rolls.

  We found this location on the internet.? It was really a great place to stay.? CLEAN, QUIET, COURTEOUS STAFF AND WE FOUND THE BREAKFAST WONDERFUL!? It's location to the I-5 was so handy and yet it is away from all of the crazy traffic.? The Amtrak is right across the street from hotel, but you don't hear it at all from your room, which was one of our concerns. We slept with balcony door open at night (we were on the 3rd floor). For RACE fans it is right by Del Mar Race Track.? It's about 20 mins. from anywhere you would want to go in the San Diego area.? Felt safe! It was the ""off"" season, so parking was not a problem (under the hotel).

  This had everything a traveler on a budget needs. We didn't plan on spending a lot of time in our room but were thankful for the free breakfast every morning and the comfortable room at night when we got back. This hotel doesn't offer a lot of thrills but it does provide basic comfort which is all we wanted. The beach was a very short walk away. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful giving us directions and suggestions where to go eat.

  This had everything a traveler on a budget needs. We didn't plan on spending a lot of time in our room but were thankful for the free breakfast every morning and the comfortable room at night when we got back. This hotel doesn't offer a lot of thrills but it does provide basic comfort which is all we wanted. The beach was a very short walk away.
