  We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Union Square. We enjoyed the nightly wine and cheese tasting which allowed us to meet other guests at the hotel. The morning continental breakfast was welcome on those days that we did'nt want to go right out. The facility was nice, but the rug in our room did show some excessive wear. All of the staff were helpful - from the front desk to the cleaning staff. If we needed something, our request was taken care of promptly.

  My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The wine and cheese and the great breakfast was a real plus. The staff is so nice and helpful. The Inn is small but in the middle of Union Square. Easy to get a cab or to walk to anywhere. Beds slept wonderful. We would go back and stay here again.

  The Inn at Union Square is exactly what any big city traveler wants to come home to...friendly staff, a clean room, a comfortable bed and pillows, and a glass of wine to top off a busy day of walking and sight-seeing. This hotel is conveniently located to anything you want to do and/or see in San Francisco. I will tell all my friends to stay here!! Thanks to The Inn at Union Square for making my first trip to San Francisco even more special!!

  We were a little weary of the Inn at Union Square because it was an unknown entity but couldn't beat the price to decided to try it for one night and stayed at the St. Francis the other night. I much prefered the Inn at Union Square and it was cheaper. Despite being in a very bustling part of town, it was a very quiet retreat. The room was great, bed very comfortable and a good shower (I judge all hotels on the shower). The wine & cheese hour and the fantastic continental breakfast were a delightful addition to an already great hotel. Definitely pick this over the St. Francis if you want a little more charm.

  We stayed three nights, the room was clean and quiet. The bed was quite comfortable. The morning breakfast was very nice, served in the lounge at the end of the hall. In the evening, there was wine, cheese and crackers, also at the lounge. The only drawback was that there was no view. We looked out at the rooftop units of the building next door. The hotel is located at the heart of Union Square, close to shopping and public transportation. A five minute walk to Union Square and you can get a Muni-Pass to take the cable car to Fishermans Wharf and Chinatown. Restaurants and delicatessens and diners are all close. The staff will make you reservations if you like. The staff was friendly and helpful and well informed. Check in and Check out were a breeze. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.
