    The Hotel is beautiful and convenient but the party goers were too loud. It was hard to get sleep but the nice and comfy bed made me forgive the busy drag. I also could hear the tenet upstairs walking around, back and forth and back and forth. I would stay again but I would bring ear plugs. The party people even set off a blast of illegal fireworks that made me jump out of bed. Also, the hotel is missing a few normal conveniences such as an ice machine and ironing board, thought the hotel staff was more than willing to bring me a bucket of ice. I was comfortable with the ceiling fans but wondered what it would be like during the summer. I couldn't find the air conditioner -- not sure if they have one. Having said all that, Yes, I would stay again because the room had such a lovely tropical decor and ambiance.

    Traveled to Santa Barbara on our 15th anniversary. We had stayed at the Fess Parker last year and were disappointed. Our friends recommended we stay at the Oceana and we were glad we listened! Due to traffic driving up from LA we arrived late at the hotel but still saw a beautiful sunset from their beachfront location. We had trouble finding the check in desk which I found frustrating after 4 hours of driving. The hotel layout is very confusing but after viewing the map at the front desk you can get the hang of it. Everyone at the front desk greeted my husband and I with a smile and welcomed us to the hotel. They were quite young but still very mature and hospitable. I was checked in by Shane who was very courteous and ensured that we had the best room. Although we hadn't booked an ocean view room, he was able to find us a room upstairs that had the best view of the signature category! We had a perfect view of the Harbor and the pool! He also recommended one of the most beautiful restaurants in Santa Barbara that we had never heard of before and it turned out to be one of the best! The rooms were a bit small but the flat screen TVs were a plus for my husband to watch his baseball games! The other problem we had was when we requested ice,(they don't have ice machines for guests). The front desk sent a bellman with the ice but it took 30 minutes, and the buckets were dirty. Other than that, a beautiful hotel at a great downtown location! Highly recommended!

    We booked the signature room and I loved the decor and the entire hotel is the quintessenial Santa Barbara feel! Beds very comfortable and clean! Breakfast is wonderful as well and it is included with your stay, but yes it does get busy trying to feed everyone all at once. I love lounging by the pool with the backdrop of the palm trees, the terracotta potted geraniums. The only thing I found off putting was having to pay for parking space! $10. You figure that should be factored in with the price. A little tacky! I think the $$$ is already pricey so book only whenn there is a deal, otherwise too expensive for what you get.

    I made a reservation for two nights for my husband who had just retired from 30 years of working for the same company. I was talked into upgrading the room I had originally planned to book. When we got there we were not given a room that looked alike an upgrade at all but a down grade. It was clean and all but not something worth the money I was paying. I asked for another room closer to the pool and they did move us to a wonderful room which was what I had been expecting. They also were suppose to change the price for the first night to average rate which they didn't and I had to ask them to correct which it took two people to get it done. I planned to go back and stay again for a concert so I will hopefully be given a good room on check in. Can't ask for a better location to town and ocean. Make sure to ask for better room if first one does not meet your expectations.
