    My prepaid reservation at the Pacific Inn Mountain View was for 3 nights. My departing flight was very late, and I arrived at the hotel at about 9 pm that evening. At the front desk when I checked in, the clerk told me the hotel was closing the following morning and that my stay would be for that night only! It was too late to make new arrangements as I had an early morning meeting the following day. To make matters even worse, when I went to take my morning shower, there was NO HOT WATER. Their solution - I COULD MO0VE TO ANOTHER ROOM! NEVER EVER BOOK THIS PLACE - PERIOD!

    Location is good, but walking the street in front of the location at 8-10 pm was a bit scary. Not sure if there's some sort ofmental health or homeless shelter within 3-4 blocks, but, alot of "those" people were walking around. Hotel wireless connection was horrible. couldn't get it to connect. Same problem two years ago when i stayed. Also, if you're an AT&T phone/wireless user...totally dead spot there in the front and back of the property. (I walked around looking for a good spot. Couldn't find one.) couldn't use my wireless connectivity to the internet. Room was old furnishings, smelled bad. Sidewalk outside door was filthy. popped circuit breaker 2-3 times just running fan while showering. Its cheap. If you don't need to work from your room (i.e. phone calls or internet) probably worthwhile. Decent breakfast and dinner bar.

    Wireless internet was very slow. Rooms are pretty old and have not been updated since Clinton was in the White House...for his first term. also, in a dead spot for AT&T telephone service. Breakfast offering is pretty good.

    Though the hotel needs some maintenance, the room was comfortable and fairly quiet. breakfast and a light diner were provided that added to the value. the location was excellent for ...

    Though the hotel needs some maintenance, the room was comfortable and fairly quiet. Breakfast and a light diner were provided that added to the value. The location was excellent for my purposes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It would be better to have internet access in the room rather than going to the lobby/dining area. Also the king bed was very comfortable.
