  We first stay at this hotel for some training in 2008. Since then my husband has stayed twice in 2009. The breakfast is not the continental dried out pastries but a full hot breakfast with waffles and eggs. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. They told my husband how to get to BART so he could go into downtown San Francisco. My husband hates traffic so now that he has to go to San Francisco area once or twice a month, he will be staying at the Hawthorn and taking BART into the city. A great hotel, close to BART, the best alternative to staying in SF with its parking problems and high prices. Hawthorne Suites is also close to other eating establishments. Don't miss this great Inn that is quality all the way

  We recently stayed while attending a wedding at a local winery. The ladies at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. The lobby has a homey feel with fireplace and couches. Full breakfast was included the following morning with eggs, sausage, etc.-not the standard coffee and pastries like most places. The Sunday paper was outside our room door as well-very nice! Also, don't be concerned about the close proximity to gas station and Jack in the Box-they have great soundproofing and we didn't hear a noise all night and we were even right by the exit of the drive-thru!
