I was looking forward to staying at this hotel and so we spent more than we normally would because the staff convinced me on the phone that this place was worth the money. It wasn't. The hotel was somewhat rundown, the carpet wasn't clean and the stairwells were downright frightening. The evening appetizer was some stale pita bread with hummus, and the breakfast consisted of hockey puck omellets with velveeta cheese. Don't waste your money, trust me.

  • Very nice, conveniently located but...thin walls

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Ashland. It has everything we like...friendly-helpful staff, spa, so many places to eat and lounge within a block of two. Beautiful grounds. The only thing that was somewhat of a problem is that it seems to have thin walls! Too bad because everything else was excellent. We could hear every step above us! Heavy walkers! We will definately ask for the top floor next time...and we most likely will return!

Our sixth straight New Year's Eve here. Amazed that the Inn hasn't shown wear and tear. The location is great. It is located two blocks from the triangle in the theatre/shopping district. Three blocks from LIthia Park. This great location eliminates the problem of buzzed driving on New Year's. There are several fun bar/restaruants nearby. The desk host was beyond compare. They are normally good, but this time she was great. Appropriately bubbly personality but very efficient. She told about several changes in the Inn and in the local restaurant scene. Breakfast is standard fare for this price range. Nothing fancy, nothing bad. The help kept everything full. We used the outdoor hot tub, even though it was freezing outside. The tub is close to the door, but don't forget your key!

  • Highly recommended!!!

We go to Ashland at least once a year. We normally stay at the Bard's Inn (Best Western) We decided to try something different, due to the price we were given at Bard's. The Plaza Inn is right next dr. to Bard's right in the heart of Ashland. We could walk just about everywhere we needed to go. The hotel was clean, friendly, newer and totally pet friendly! We had covered parking, full breakfast, wine reception, and for a night cap, fresh baked cookies and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Our room had a micro, fridge, coffeemaker and a list of available pillows to best suit you for a good nights sleep, (body pillows ect.) Everything was coved from A to Z and we will return!

  • Great hotel in a funky little town

We stay in Ashland every year on our way to Seattle. We have stayed at the Plaza for the last 4 years, previously we stayed at the Ashland Springs Hotel. .
We love this hotel! There are some downfalls such as to little parking and the breakfast area is not well designed for the amount of people they feed every day.
The staff is always incredibly accommodating and professional. My last stay I had booked 6 months in advance and they were already sold out on almost all of the rooms! The hotel is getting harder to get into, which I guess is a good thing.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique experience but do not wait to book your room, especially in the summer time!
