  We paid the same price at the Morro Crest in as we did for a hotel room on the 39th floor of the Hilton in SF. The towels were gray and course. We were skeptical about the cleanliness of the sheets after seeing the towels. The floors and walls were very thin. In all fairness, I could tell that it was a family run hotel, the staff was very nice and directed us to a good place to eat, but I just have a hard time paying so much for a mediocre experience.

  The price i reserved was less than i was charged when i got there. the excuse was i got a better room which i didn't request. there was a ...

  The price I reserved was less than I was charged when I got there. The excuse was I got a better room which I didn't request. There was a dirty rag left in the shower and towel in the closet. The service from the front desk was very bad. I was told I couldn't speak to the owner because he doesn't speak english . . . go figure!!!

  An o.k. place for the price considering how lovely Morro Bay is. The place is dated and the rooms dowdy looking, but otherwise it is reasonably clean. Some staff members were friendly, others not. A safe bet for a decent stay, if you are not real picky and looking to be pampered.
