  The access to the beach was more than I anticipated. To access the beach, one had to walk down a pathway behind other properties and then go down several sets of slippery steep stairs. On the plus side, the suites with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were great for a family and the continental breakfast was good.

  The weather was cool; however, as pleasant as it was outside, the two room family suite was very warm and there was no air conditioning. There was a balcony on the backside and windows on the front side, but we would not have been comfortable leaving the windows open. Unfortunately the world we live in does not afford that luxury. Only one small fan for these two rooms. The room was clean, fairly newly decorated and all other amenities were good. The continental breakfast was better than most!

  My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our one-year-old son and had a GREAT time. The rooms were decorated nicely and were clean, and were surprisingly large for the price. All staff members I interacted with were friendly and courteous. And the continental breakfast was more than the usual muffins and juice. They had waffles, bagels, fresh fruit, several types of cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea....something for everyone. The game courtyard was great for our son. Even though he isn't old enough to play ping pong or chess he had a great time running around. We walked to the beach (about a 5 minute walk) and practically had our own stretch of beach to ourselves. We will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again in the future. I'd recommend it for anyone travelling as a family.

  This property is perfect for families with children. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spotless and very nicely decorated. We have trouble finding rooms big enough for 5, and were happy to be able to fit a rollaway in with no trouble. There are lots of activities for the kids and with beach access, we wished we had longer to stay! If we come back through this way again, we'll be sure to stay again.

  We very much enjoyed our stay at Pismo Beach Lighthouse Suites. The suites are very spacious and clean - they include 2 full sized hotel rooms - each with it's own bath. This was great so that our toddler could go to bed at her regular 8pm time and we could stay up later without disturbing her. The hotel was packed with families and children - great if you are bringing the kids, but not the best place if you are trying to get away from the kids. Breakfast is the typical continental fare with the addition of yummy fresh waffles. The only downside is the pool which is very very small and full of kids - not much room pool side for lounging either. The staff made some great recommendations for fantastic restaurants off the beaten path.
