  First; the picture displayed of the pool was taken at an angle. Much smaller and older that appeared in the picture. We could not turn on the air conditioning therefore the rooms temperature stayed at 80 degrees for the entire stay. It just happend to be on of the unusually warm days because everyone else was using their fans so since being on the first floor it sounded like we were sleeping next to a generator room.
  
  The restaurant associated with the hotel next door, also was poorly misrepresented. The from the time we ordered it took 30 minutes before the appetizers arrived then another 25 minutes before dinner was served. The same thing happened at Sunday brunch. The water cups had remanents of the orange juice that was last served in it and the coffee had so much grounds floating at the top that you wondered how the sever couldn't spot it.
  
  For the price and service, save your money.

  The reviews on this hotel nailed the issues that we encountered:

  - hot tub jets just bubble; all are broken

  The reviews on this hotel nailed the issues that we encountered:
  
  - front desk staff not very helpful
  - hot tub jets just bubble; all are broken
  - noisy; ice maker flooded both nights, and they cleaned hallway carpets around 8:30am both mornings
  - room was pretty nice, however, "partial ocean view" did mean to lean over your railing or squint through the trees to see a hint of water
  - self parking was terrible and only one valet appeared to be on duty
  
  Overall, we would consider another hotel next time. This is a good location, but the hotel needs work physically and with the service levels.

  Don?t believe what the reservation agents tell you, get it in writing if you have to stay at this place.
  
  There are much better hotels in the area with excellent restaurants.
  
  Partially ocean view means: go to your balcony bent over the corner, you may see the ocean.
  This hotel is a party place for the kids at cal poli, very noisy.
  The pool is very small and the Jacuzzi disgusting.
  They have a sauna that dose not work, worst spa that I have ever seen. You like to get a massage and there is no waiting room that you can relax in.
  on top of all these, their vallet parking put a nice scratch on my car.

• Noisy Hotel

  When we arrived, it was packed with people all over the place - DRUNK! Everyone was out of control and running around the hotel. After an easy check-in, we got to our room where the blinds were off the runner and no longer keeping light out of the room, the bedspread had tons of stains on it, and the furniture looked very worn.
  Although the location of the hotel is nice, as well as the staff, the hotel is so noisy! You can hear everything that goes on outside your door. All night we heard people partying and yelling all down the halls, doors slamming, and housekeeping carts creaking by. It was awful and I think I slept about 2 hours all night.
  I don't recommend for a relaxing vacation.

• Great hotel with access to a becutiful beach

  The hotel is just next to a beach there, which is much more private to the state beach there and just as beautiful. It's great you can go to the beach with family and then come back to the room to take a shower right away. They have quite a few family activities there for kids. Tie-dying, kite making, concert, cocktails and many others. Great pool with ocean view. It's not big, but the view is great and so is the service. Restaurant is good. It's a great location for a weekend getaway.
