    This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that provides an in room condom and earplugs but no bible. The night life from the surrounding area permeates the walls and makes the earplugs necessary if you want to go to sleep before 1:30 am. The restaurant on site, the Doug Fir, was excellent for all meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    4 of us stayed here for two nights over the weekend. We wanted something central, cheap, fun, hip and cool. We got all of this and more at the Jupiter. In the same vein as some other discount boutique hotels the rooms we're sparse but not lacking in any comforts even the Sheraton would have. We had two comfortable beds with down pillows and duvets, high thread count sheets, flat screen TV, speakers to which to hook-up our ipods (great ftre that most hotels do not have) hair dryer, organic bathroom products, lots of nice towels and clean rooms. The staff was amazing, anything we needed, whether it be ice, bottle opener, dinner reservations, club recommendations they were friendly and polite. There was lots of cheap parking on-site. The Doug fir which was the restaurant/bar/lounge/patio was amazing. Great food, drinks, staff, decor. We had everything from late night cocktails on the patio around the fire-pit and midnight snacks to early morning coffee and breakfast and it was all great and excellent service. We had a great stay, I would recommend this for anyone who wants a fun, central, clean friendly, hip hotel. As there is a bar on-site, if you are looking for quiet, this may not be it, but even then, the bar did not keep us up at night.

    A great place for a getaway after a long day, or if you just want a break from the norm. The food and service in the restaurant was a nice extra and the best coffee in the morning. I hope to stay at the Jupiter whenever I am in Portland overnight.

    Very cool if your looking for a place to party and hangout. not a hotel for anyone over the age of 40 though.
