  Any other hotel in the area would be better than this one. breakfast was overseen by an unfriendly, cheap person. kids were not very welcome. location is not bad.

  We were visiting hearst castle the next day and found the hotel more than adequate to meet our one day needs. only negative was breakfast. all carbs, no protein.

  The room needed to be remolded. there was cracked and peeling plaster throughout the room. the bedroom smelled of mold and there was a lot of mold on the shower ...

  The room needed to be remolded. There was cracked and peeling plaster throughout the room. The bedroom smelled of mold and there was a lot of mold on the shower curtain. The beds were extremely hard. The heater was very hard to control, there were gaps in the plaster around the heater, and the thermostat was extremely old and was about to come of the wall. Although I booked the room online, when I asked for a receipt at the end of the stay, the clerk argued with me and reluctantly printed a useless receipt. The continental breakfast was outside in the cold and very limited. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

  The staff was very helpful and freindly and the rooms were clean and spacious. the restaurant attached was excellent and reasonably priced.
