I arrived to this hotel to be told that they did not have any rooms available. The front desk agent consulted with his colleague and she also told me that they did not have any rooms available. They checked the system and found my reservation. But still told me no rooms were available. Having been through this several years ago, I know that hotels usually send you to another hotel that is EQUAL or better with transportation. But no, he told me that he was going to send me to a 3 star hotel AND, I would have to WALK there late in the evening IN THE RAIN with my luggage. I asked myself, would he send his mother, sister or wife to walk in a neighborhood that she is not familiar with late at night in the RAIN. His entire attitude was unprofessional. I think they are at least 30 years behind on good customer service skills. The lady finally told me that she had a suite that she could put me in (WHY DID SHE NOT OFFER THIS TO ME IN THE BEGINING. I ONLY NEEDED ONE GOOD NIGHT OF REST). She said that I would have to be out by 9:00am. 9:00am! I thought to myself, Are you kidding! First you make me wait for nearly an hour and then tell me that you have a room, but I would have to leave at 9:00am. Did they think I was a homeless person begging for a room to stay in? I PAID! I wrote management to tell them of this problem and I have yet to hear from them. Not Professional, AT ALL!

This hotel is a few steps off a busy street but that is a huge plus with the traffic of Milan. It is definately a great deal for the price. Our room was so interesting! The walls and ceiling were padded with fabric and instead of crown molding there was cording, like sleeping in a huge jewelry box. My husband thought the shower was tiny but we had two small private roof access doors, (one in the bath and one in our room) to go out onto. We were the only room on the 8th floor. Steps from the metro, and short walk to departments stores and resturants. The hotel resturant was very accomodating! I would definately go again!!

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, close to a metro stop. beds wonderful. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast varied and good, coffee A+! Restaurant expensive but well worth it. Close to other restaurants and department store,""Coin."" dollar low, best value is using credit card whenever possible. Take in the Dumo and various museums, also LA SCALA !!!

My first trip to Europe, and this is the first hotel I stayed in. From Italy to Greece to London, by far this was a great hotel for it's price. I paid more at other hotels and they were not nearly as clean, friendly and accomodating. I would stay at The Capitol again in a heartbeat!

This well located hotel has the best weekend staff I've found in 8 countries and 40 states. They're helpful, friendly, efficient and creative. They give good recommendations and remember your name. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is accomodating and the drinks are perfect. We had a great time.
