  I am not sure what the person who previously reviewed this hotel was thinking, but my husband and I (who have traveled a great deal and are not easy to please) found it to be excellent in every way. The rooms were clean, spacious and charming, had the best beds of any hotel on our trip to Tuscany, and contained every modern convenience including working wireless internet. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel is located within the city walls in a quiet and lovely area about a ten minute walk from the main city square. Our room was a great value for the price, and parking (which can easily cost $50 a night) was free! A delicious breakfast buffet was also included. We had reserved a superior room and were upgraded (without asking) to an 8th floor deluxe room with a balcony, but our friends who were not upgraded also had a spacious and lovely room on the fourth floor. All in all we had a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend this hotel more highly.

  I stayed two nights in this hotel in may. the staff is unhelpful, unable to do the most basic tasks ie: cash travellers checks, make reservations, call taxis etc. rooms ...

  I stayed two nights in this hotel in May. The staff is unhelpful, unable to do the most basic tasks ie: cash travellers checks, make reservations, call taxis etc. Rooms are woefully in need of updating. In the USA, this hotel would rate two stars only.
