After checking in at the resort we were referred to a sweet young blonde woman who was to issue us a parking permit for the week. She asked if we would be kind enough to attend a breakfast the next morning to simply fill out a marketing questionere regarding the upgrades on the property. I advised her that if this was a time share orientation that we were not interested. She assured me that this wa not so. She asked me for a $20.00 deposit just to assure the number of people who were actually attending. My family and I advised her that if this was in truth a ploy to sell time share that we were going to leave. We reported the next morning to find that it was a time share orientation. We left. They did not want to reimburse our $20.00. This was not a way to begin a vacation. Not relaxing! We were charged $6.00 a day for parking which was fine with us. However, when we attempted to park our own cars there were no parking spots available. Staff expected a tip. No security. Umbrellas on the beach were $30.00 a day. I found this a bit expensive. There was a $1.00 a day safe charge which we were not advised about, no umbrellas by the pool!!! Very hot!!! At the end of our meal for dinner we were advised that an 18% tax had been added to our bill. The food was average. Pull out sofa - below average. Promised view of ocean - view of parking lot. Rooms were clean. Staff friendly. Husband's blackberry, wallet stollen. Advised second time this had happen in one week! Be careful. You need a car!!! Some areas outside of the resort are not safe. Be informed.

The hotel was overall very good. I didn't like the lack of option to upgrade to an ocean view. But the room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It had a kinnette with dishes and a dishwasher which made it easy to bring back leftovers or run to the grocery store to get some breakfast items in case you don't want to step out for every meal. There was only 1 restaurant on premise which we didn't try, but we went to the nearby Italian place which was decent. There weren't a lot of dining options nearby but if you drive upto PGA Blvd, there were a ton of restaurants and stores.

Upon arrival at the hotel, they informed me that I would not have an oceanfront room and if this was an issue that I was to contact the online travel website. Being frustrated that I paid for an oceanfront room I went upstairs to contact the travel website company and when I entered my non-oceanfront room I discovered a film covering all of the windows in the balcony and living area, needless to say, I was becoming extremely annoyed. So I contacted the front desk to make my complaint and pursue my promised oceanfront room. The hotel did relocate me to a different room that had less film on the windows, but refused to relocate me to an oceanfront room. After relocating to my second room I contacted the travel website company and as stated on the travel company's website under Features ""...enjoy a bevy of entertainment opportunities at this all-suite oceanfront beach resort,"" so I informed them the worst view I anticipated was a side view of the ocean, but instead I received a parking lot view. The fourth Travelocity member that I was transferred to said they agreed that I should receive an oceanfront room based off the website information, but she couldn't do anything about it unless I spoke to a manager and it may take a while to find a manager. So once again I was on hold hoping that she would find a manager, but a manager could not be found. By this time I was on the phone for 30 minutes with Travelocity and furious because I spent my first one and one half hours on vacation arguing with people about something that was promised to me.

I stayed at the Hotel... (some other comments mentioned that it was surrounded by a ""horrible and unsafe area) NOT TRUE... obviously, it had to be posted by people that DON'T LIVE in Florida... Anyway... ALL WAS GREAT.. EXCEPT: VALET.. * I DON'T MIND TO PAY THE $6.00 VALET, BUT EVEN IF YOU HAVE PARKED YOURSELF YOUR CAR , THEY COME BACK AT YOU TELLING YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE ENTRANCE.. waiste of MY time. Otherwise, the ONLY BAD THING I NEED is that (as far as Front desk informed me) NONE OF THE ROOMS ARE CATEGORIZED AS ""smoking"" or ""non smoking"" AND SO, I HAD A ROOM THAT LITTERALLY STINKED SMOKE.... I HAD TO BUY CANDLES TO A NEARBY STORE... SO... IF YOU WANT TO STAY AT THAT PARTICULAR PROPERTY WHICH (BESIDE THAT IS PERFECTLY FINE!!!) WELL, MAKE SURE TO BRING SOME AIR PURIFIERS (CAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE IT) AND IF YOU ARE A SMOKER, WELL... THIS PLACE SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH YOUR STAY. IF YOU ARE A VERY DIFFICULT PERSON, DON'T STAY THERE, CAUSE THIS HOTEL IS MADE FOR NORMAL PEOPLE... WHO APPRECIATE A SIMPLE, OCEANFRONT PROPERTY THAT HAS IT ALL. PERIOD. THIS IS NOT A RITZ CARLTON, SO, IF YOU ARE SNOBBISH, DON'T. IF YOU ARE DOWN TO EARTH, THEN, ENJOY IT, YOUR FAMILY WILL REALLY ENJOY IT, SO NICE TO BE ON THE BEACH. PS: THEY WILL TRY TO HAVE YOU SIGN UP FOR THEM TO SELL ""VACATION WEEKS""...THIS IS A WELL GARDED HOTEL.
